Season 6 of "BONES" begins Thursday night, this week is looking pretty good

There's also How I Met Your Mother starting up tonight. Go Alyson!

I'm also curious about Lone Star. Could be cool. Could be awful. I'll give it a shot. The DVR is going to get a workout tonight. Good thing cause it's been a sloooooooow summer.

Hey, y'know what else comes back tonight? Castle!

I also wanna see The Event. Looks like I'll have to find alternate means to watch Chase, though, since it's opposite Castle.

And Parenthood came back last week, as did The Clone Wars. Glee starts up again this week (A lot of my family are choir people, so I'm obligated to follow it).

Not sure offhand when the NCISes are coming back. SGU is still a couple of weeks off, and Sanctuary doesn't show up (here, at least) until mid-October.

Tonight I'll be watching;

Chuck

Lone Star

Castle

I'll watch HIMYM Summer repeats and am sick of HOUSE. DWTS has it's worst cast of has-beens ever.

Tonight for me it will be Chuck (never miss it!), The Event and Castle (although I may wait and see it on Hulu).

I don't have a DVR anymore, I'm sure my VCR doesn't work anymore either, so I will be watching less TV this year, but Mondays will be the only day I'll watch three hours of shows.

Happy U-Day!

Yes, this was a great episode, even without Jeff, Lester , Big Mike, or Capt. Awesome.

Some geek facts I noticed:

Vandelay Industries - clearly a "Seinfield" reference. (Art Vandelay ring a bell?)

Larry Cedar - "The Interviewer" - was on "Square One TV" back in the day.

Was the big Russian the boxer from one of the "Rocky" movies?

Watched "The Event", also. Was surprisingly good, for seeing most of the show in the commercials.

And the ending was just.... whoa.

You've been warned. I'm gonna guess it was an effect of a "Chronosphere", like from C&C: Red Alert 2.

Wow, something I like that has Dolph Lundgren in it. Miracles do happen.
And it was nice that they got that line in there from Rocky 4 but I much preferred Harry Dean Stanton stepping out of the shadows and saying he's a Repo Man. Almost wet myself. I hope he's a recurring character in some way.

Overall a great episode with some fairly obvious plot points but they still handled them all nicely. And it's nice to still see them all in the familiar settings like the Buy More, even if things have changed a bit. I wonder how Big Mike and Jeffster are going to fit in?

Looking forward to the rest of the season and even more pop culture references.

There was one thing, but only one thing, that I didn't like about last night's show. I hope it is not a sign of extreme budget cuts, but they sure saved a lot of money by not having to shoot the scene with Chuck taking out the ten gunmen.

They spent all their budget on the scene where Sarah was sexting- I'm happy with that.

U-day: See The Train Job, the first actually-broadcast (but non-pilot) episode of FF, from Sep. 20, 2002.
Coincidentally Malcolm Reynolds' birthday, though that was 2468.
Altogether an ass-picious day

Huh. I've seen September 20th celebrated as Independents Day and Firefly day, but never U-Day. Every Firefly timeline I've seen puts U-Day in May or June, with emphasis on June 23rd (the historic end of the Civil War and Josh Whedon's Birthday).

Loved the episode! Great premiere! Olivia Munn and Yvonne Strahovski in one episode? Sold!

Cool to see Linda Hamilton kicking butt, and Dolph Lundgren actually played a decent bad guy.
