I first noticed what was on the flat screen and I thought it was the pilot episode as well.. then I noticed his gun. :) All in all very shiny indeed!

Hard to tell exactly what's on the tv screen. I don't think it's a scene from Firefly/Serenity though.

Shiny pic. Gun......check (good pick up everyone).

On the big screen............opening sequence from the pilot Serenity (he's laying down while bullets fly about, check it).

Also, I believe the green helmet is from the pilot as well.

That's what I thought too. But while similar, I don't think it's a scene from the pilot.
