I an attempt to recognize the people that have been active on this board for a while, I was curious to see who is the longest active member on these fine boards. Myself, my profile registers January 7, 2004, though I had another login name back in October of 2003 and I lurked for a few months prior to that.

So post the date you joined FFF.net, and let's see if we can find who has been active the longest!

I got Oct 4th 2004 so you both beat me by a couple of months to several months.
Must have been a good year.

I would imagine Haken may be the longest member, unless he took over from someone else?

EDIT: MSA you got your post in as I wrote mine but Haken does seem the obvious one. He's been here since March 11 2002 according to his profile.
Maybe it should be a member that DIDN'T start the board.

Been lurking since Firefly was canceled. Became a member April 30, 2003.

Kind of depressing that more than 95% of original members have been gone from here for along time now.

God, we need another Firefly series.

No, me neither. I miss having the time to spend on the forum or any other forum too, but it's just not possible anymore.

Twitter gets a bit of my attention...FB too with family and fellow Browncoats...otherwise I don't get on the computer as much as I used to. My "real" life, shall we say, is too busy and diverse.

I don't look at this wonderful place as a place to try to get more Firefly/Serenity anymore. I look at as a place to check in with friends, including the cast and crews of all the shows our BDH's are now involved in plus other scifi shows.
FFF.net is great about posting news!

I also love all the great stuff Browncoats do, whether it's charity work, shindigs or fanfic, artwork or fanfilms.

I may not sign in and comment but every few months, but I check the site and the news every day for at least a few minutes. It's a moment of joy in an otherwise crazy day. And I wouldn't miss it for the world. Thanks Haken!

I have been a member since Tuesday, 22nd July, 2003 and still posting stories. Like everyone else I miss many of the brilliant writers who used to post and seem to have gone beyond the Rim. Just hope the gorram Alliance didn't nab 'em. Fortunately we have some newer writers who are keeping us flying.

I watched Firefly from the beginning on FOX, but didn't go looking for websites until after the cancellation. I lurked for a while before registering on January 31, 2004, after watching the DVDs continuously for almost a month. I am member 4452.

I can't recall the usernames of a lot of the active members back then, but I do remember ThatWeirdGirl, ManWithPez and Succatash. Zoid must have registered around that time too, and I miss his insightful posts.

I used to have a page bookmarked that had all the members listed in alphabetical order, but that disappeared some time ago.

Postin' just so's I can remember, I keep forgetting...

I started lurking about 2 days after the movie was released(on video), so about December 22, 2005 and apparently officially de-lurkified Oct 2006(had different name, then). Boy, a lot has happened in the last five years for me...

We outta send out the word for all Browncoats to converge on the ten year anniversary which would be... March 11 2012. That'd be awesome...
