Actually, I just got some great news :) My server provider has switched to a branddd spanking new server! Faster connection and everything.

The changes have been made, it's just taking a while for it to be DNS'ed or something.. im not a network specialist ;) So by tomorrow or the next day, it should be up for good.

Sneaker98 many thanks and eternal gratitude for all the files, I have had many happy hours while I work listening to them on my PC.

Server seems to be working now.

But does anyone know why they won't play on my PDA (Tungsten T), are there different flavours of .mp3 formats? The only other .mp3s I have are the buffy "Once More with Feeling" ones and they work fine. I've tried both Aeroplayer and the RealPlayer Palm client, the files load okay but nothing happens when you try and play them. Well Aeroplayer resets. I'll try a google and see what turns up.

I'm glad I found this, great stuff!

But...

It seems to have stopped working for the moment. Has some bandwidth limit been temporarily exceeded?

EDIT: Hmmm... The redirection seems a bit squiffy for me, for some reason. You might want to think about changing all the links to properly reflect nightsoft.net instead of nightsoftware.com. That seems to work for me, anyway.

EDIT #2: The link for the lowlife vultures bit needs to be set right. Gee, am I annoying anyone yet?

Naturally, the second I bump the thread the server goes down ;) No, there's no cap or anything on it... it just goes off and on. It used to be quite reliable ;)

I fixed the link for lowlife vultures, and also changed the URL's to fit nightsoft.net instead of nightsoftware.com

You should be able to right click on the links and select 'save target as' or whatever... shouldn't you?

It's like this: I open the link. First comes nothing, so then I click "refresh" and after some seconds the playing bar appears in the middle of the screen. Otherwise the page is blank. And then I can play the song, but when I right click it doesen't give me the option "save as"...

It's getting crowded in my sky...

Huh. Maybe once you've played it it'll be in some temporary directory somewhere you could track it down and copy/paste it elewhere...

Osterbaum,
My friend you are misunderstanding what people are trying tell you. You start off by saying "I open the link" STOP right there. If you open the link (as in left click) you get a white page and a playbar but no option to download just to hear it. What you should be doing is NOT opening the link at all but instead right clicking the actual YELLOW LINK on this page not on the playbar. Oh and the option you want from the menu that appears is called "SAVE TARGET AS" then just wait a second and then select the destination folder you want to store these in. Hope this helps out.
Big upps to sneak for the great job. I was in the process of doing this as well for myself. But now i don't have to :) you rock. One thing i do have tho' is i made a longer version of the firefly theme by combining the opening and closing themes (even the GRRR ARRRGH) into one seamless song. it works out great that way. You may wish to consider this or i can send along mine. Thanks again

Has anyone heard if they're going to release music that's just soundtrack (minus the quotes)? As much as I love the whole cast and the scripts and... well, I love the music and would really enjoy hearing it on its own.

I mean, I'd buy the soundtrack at the usual $16 to $20 for a CD in a music store. :)

In the mean time, I'm totally enjoying what we've got available here. :)

In case anyone else was interested, a fellow Browncoat found out for me at the SF Comic Con that, assuming Serenity does well in theaters, other Firefly merchandizing will be available after the movie. This includes the CD soundtrack I'm craving. :)

Maybe I missed this somewhere in the post; but can you tell us what program you're using to record all this stuff? I have a program called Loop Recorder. The recorded sound quality is decent and plays well on my computer, but when I play it in the car, it sounds horrible. Any advice? Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone had gotten the alternate intro done by Book, not Mal. I would definately like to hear that. I believe it's mostly in "Train Job", "Our Mrs. Reynolds", "Jaynestown" & maybe "Out Of Gas". We get Mal's intro in "Shindig" & "Safe" & "Ariel" & we loose the intro in "War Stories", Objects In Space", & "Serenity" if I remember correctly.
