How can I join in the Firefly roleplaying games?

I'm relatively new to this site and have just noticed some of the forums about roleplaying games (i.e. adventures in gunrunning).
I was wondering if it is too late to join in. If not how do I join and how can I find out more about the games? I would appreciate any information my fellow browncoats can offer.

well corncobb, I guess I'm a gunrunner, so I can answer. We have a few people that are currently playing 1 or more characters. perhaps they want to give one up, or if you know what's up with the RP, chronology-wise, you can come up with a new character to play.

Adventures in Gunrunning apparently started as an experiment a few months ago, and has evolved into a rather fun bit of creative writing.

As Maniac has said, there are a couple of doubled characters right now, and the potential for adding new ones or guest stars.

If you have an idea of something you would like to do, you can always post it here. Or feel free to contact our current, guest Director CapnRahn, or his assistant Director which just happens to be myself.

As to finding out about the game, all I can say is read any thread labled Adventures in Gunrunning for the story and OOC Adventures in Gunrunning which is the out-of-character commentary and discussions.

Any of the Story threads will lead you backwards through the story as the first post is normally informational and has useful links.

Just let us know what you are interested in doing.

Thank's for the tips. I'll read some of the Adventures in Gunrunning threads and see if I get any ideas. You'll hear from me when I've thought of a character. I reckon this is gonna be fun

i once tried to do d&d with real people, but i was told the people i were playing with must not have been good because we all fizzled after 2 meetings.

Well what this particular thread is talking about is the "Adventures in Gunrunning" posting game that is going on right here, under the Firefly Universe sub forum.

It's a bunch of us writing at each other and it is hysterical and sometimes teary by turns.

I am not sure if that is what you were looking for, but I think there are other threads concerning GURPS and other paper games running about.

I sincerely hope someone who knows more than I do gives you a hand ...
