(1&2) A nearly exact replica of the shirt given out to the cast & crew; Adam's wearing it on the DVD during his song. The front has a picture of Serenity and the back has the new characters for "firefly."

I would LOVE the Serenity one (new logo), Rowdy Play/Trouble Maker, Blue Sun, and the picture of Serenity. And the Water one. Oh, and if the Solider/Brave one came in short sleeves, I would get it too. ^_^

They're all just so very shiny! Wonderful work, and I would deff. pay for some of these.

Howdy. First post, yada, blah, etc. Was telling a friend about Firefly's dedicated hardcore fanbase, which led to a discussion on T-shirts. He's really interested in the "Water" shirt and I'm...well, interested in practically all of 'em, though I could narrow it down to...."Rowdy Play," the cast/crew shirt, Blue Sun T-shirt, and the Fighting Elves.

And... man, if that Serenity jacket's being sold, I'll probably be able to talk myself into ordering it at some point.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I just ordered from bluesunshirts.com, and the site is set up to make ordering all over the world easy and hassle-free. I don't know what it took to create, but whenever you decide on a website to market your shirts, HK, I vote using a method as simplified as bluesunshirts.

(3) Ping2jing4 "Serenity" - the old logo in the show from the side of Serenity herself.
(4) Wan2 Nao4 "Rowdy Play" or "Trouble Maker" (slang) - Jayne wore this shirt in "Jaynestown."
(1&2) Shui3 "Water" - Jayne wears this shirt near the end of "Serenity." The logo is actually on his left shoulder. This is the toughest shirt by far to make and doesn't photograph all that well.

Super on the shirts and I certainly understand the fronting of the dollars.

I found this FFF community super to deal with and honest to a fault. They are also understanding of process delays as on our own we are doing better than Fox did or Universal is doing.

Paypal is handy as the receipt and refund process is great. The PP charge is not so good but worth it to me for tracking of the patch orders.

If I can't manage Paypal (never had any problems before) it will probably be Western Union, cos I think it might be difficult to send Mountain Dew, especially as there are very few places in the UK that stock the drink!

Real quick -

It looks as though the Blue Sun shirt is one of the most popular. Imagine that. Since it's also the easiest & cheapest to make, I think I'm going to get this one going first. I'm thinking that I can keep the cost of this around $10-15, more or less, depending on order size. (Is that too much?)

The other graphics will be more difficult because they have more colors and some require the special non-silk-screening kind of printing. Anyway, I'm hoping to get some time this weekend to sort through all the information I've gotten.

I just wanted y'all to know that I am still working on it. I'll post more info here as it becomes apparent. In the mean time, the following picture is something I just started working on - hand painting the Serenity logo onto a leather bomber jacket. Not complete yet, but still kinda neat.

I am impressed! The shirts look terrific. What's the situation with them at this point? I read through the thread but I didn't see any final ordering info. So I thought I would check in and see if it's still possible for me to get in on this and purchase some shirts.

I love the yellow "Trouble maker" one you show in a later thread, also the "No Power in the 'Verse," and the "Rowdy Play" (top row last picture), and the "Blue Sun" (of course), and also "Water." Love them! And that browncoat makes my mouth water... the Chinese symbols look fantastic on it.

Hey there. Sorry I haven't posted an update sooner. I'm still sulking over not being able to go to Dragon*Con.

I am still working out all the details with PrinterMan in between all those pesky real-life demands placed on me. (Yes, I'm a corporate whore.) It looks as though the Blue Sun and new Serenity Logo shirts are the most popular, followed closely by "Trouble Maker," "Water" and "Fighting Elves."

Blue Sun is easiest to make, so I'll probably have that run first. I'm sorry to say that I don't think the "Water" shirt is feasible because of the graphic's location. Okay, well, it is feasible, but it's just really expensive due to the necessary customizations. I may just stick with making that one myself. So, right now, my hopes are to produce the Blue Sun, new Serenity logo, and Fighting Elves shirts.

As far as ordering goes: I'm thinking that I'll make up a quick ordery type form and post it to my website. This ordery type form will have all the available sizes and styles, so if it ain't on the form, y'ain't gonna be able to get it. From there, you'll be able to email me at a specific-shirt-ordering email address so none of your orders get lost in all my other junk mail.

Once things become more certain, I'll post a "go ahead and order" message on this thread, and I may also start a new thread if this one gets too long or too burried.

I'll definitely keep checking for updates - I can't wait to buy some of these most excellent apparels.

One thing, though - Will the "Trouble Maker" design be another one of those "probably-won't-do-it" designs, because of the sleeve graphic? I'd be mighty disappointed if I couldn't get ahold of one of those....and I would be willing to pay extra for the fancy sleeve dealie.

With the designs you have listed, I'd definitely go for a "Fighting Elves" shirt, and I'd also definitely go for "Trouble Maker" if it was available. "Blue Sun" is pretty tempting, too.

Including shipping to each person, $10 for a one color shirt isn't too bad, but you could probably do better. I've worked with several bands over the years getting shirts done and there are some great diy places you can order from on the net or through the mail that have great prices. I used to use jbug prints (you could get one-sided, single color shirts for about $4, no minimum order, no setup/screen charges), but they seem to be revamping their website at the moment.

You might try http://www.prngraphics.com/

There you can get a dozen color shirts with one ink color for $3.56 each, plus a $10 screen charge. That would come out to about $4.40 per shirt. And they have no minimum order number, so you could even buy just one shirt if you wanted (though it will cost more).

The only problem I can think of is that some places may be leery of working with designs to which you do not own the legal rights.

If you're still thinking of producing these, I'd love a couple!

I would definately buy:

(4) Wan2 Nao4 "Rowdy Play" or "Trouble Maker" (slang) - Jayne wore this shirt in "Jaynestown."

(1&2) Shui3 "Water" - Jayne wears this shirt near the end of "Serenity." The logo is actually on his left shoulder. This is the toughest shirt by far to make and doesn't photograph all that well.

(3) Yong3 "Soldier" or "Brave" - Jayne wears this in several episodes, including "Ariel" and "War Stories."

(4) Zhan4 Dou4 de Xiao3 Jing1 Ling2 "(the) Fighting Elves" - Jayne wears this shirt in several episodes, including "War Stories" and "Safe."

Please let me know how this is going, as they look ace!

Have you considered employing an outside source to print the shirts if the logistics are too much? Say someone like Alex @ bluesuntshirts.com?

Alex has made some very shiny Blue Sun shirts. I own five of them, which have stood up to being worn and washed many times, but they still look like new. If anyone can help HK get these Jayne shirts made, it is Alex.

I'll try to keep both threads updated as things progress. FYI, if you check out his website and look in the "Pre order" section, the "Serenity" logo and the "Fighting Elves" graphics he has posted right now (11/08/04) are very nice, but they are NOT my designs. I'm going to work with Alex to (hopefully) get a section for my graphics so we can gage interest for actual printing and ordering. He knows more about this than I do, so I'll shut up now. Be sure to thank him for being willing to make these shirts (and put up with me).

As I said in an earlier post, these are my favorites and I would order any and all of them!

"I love the yellow "Trouble maker" one you show in a later thread, also the "No Power in the 'Verse," and the "Rowdy Play" (top row last picture), and the "Blue Sun" (of course), and also "Water." Love them! And that browncoat makes my mouth water... the Chinese symbols look fantastic on it."
