Identify the quote by movie/TV show & character(s), then post yours for the next person to identify.

I'm guessing google / bing aren't allowed, correct?

Not real sure, but I'd have to guess Riddick, from Pitch Black, correct ?

*p.s.* - Wrong. Just checked it. I'll sit out until there's another quote.

" I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend. "

YAY!!!

I never get here early enough to get these, never mind actually knowing it. I'm so happy.

It's from Predator. Correct?
And I think it was Mac who said it.

I'll assume that I'm right seeing as I only just watched it last week (going through a 'sort of' Arnie season).

My line is:

"Aww, what the f**k, thin's my middle name."

Could be an easy one.

Oddly enough we watched Terminator 1+2, then Predator (the Arnie part of the season), then Predator 2 and then the movie my quote is from (this being the 'sort of' part of the season).

I suspect there's a heavy dose of jokery in your post. I think you actually know which film/character and you just posted to suggest a possible link. Am I right?

But I'll give another for ya to identify anyway:

I gotta say this one had me stumped when I first read it. It could be a lot of movies. Then I thought about it a little differently, applied your fave movies and a face popped into my head.

Could it be Lex Luthor from Superman: The Movie??
It sounds like something he would say when he explains the floor map to Warren Beatty.

I'll check back in the morning as it's beddy-byes time on this continent. They don't allow me to be fed after midnight.
I'll leave my quote from further up for anyone else to get and I'll check back when I wake up to see if I got this right.

I'm sure Ned Beatty would be happy to be confused with Warren.

As for your quote, is it from Twins, spoken by Danny Devito?

Hahahaha!!!
Yeah, Ned Beatty.
I would say that Warren should be happy to be compared to Ned. Never did rate Warren as a great actor but Ned is always good to watch.

No it's not from Twins.

There is a loosely logical progression between the films I watched last week (listed above).
Terminator - Terminator 2 - Predator - Predator 2 - ****** ******.
It's an 80's film and there are two links between Predator 2 and my film.

Right film, wrong character but you can count yourself correct as you named both characters.

I guess it's your turn to post a quote for us to figure out.

It sounds like some kind of torture scene and that made me think of Swimming With Sharks but I knew that was wrong because I've seen it too many times.

I can't see you being a fan of the Saw or Hostel style movies (neither am I but I may be wrong about you).
So I gave up and did a quick search but that only told me WHO said it and not which film. Is this deliberately a toughie?

Technically, it's from Tolkien's The Two Towers, not me. Nor was that line in any of the LOTR movies.

It was said by Faramir ( Boromir's brother ) and Captain of the Guard of Gondor.

It was a dubbed movie, so maybe the translation was off & it doesn't show up in a search-?

Thanks for clarifying where it is from. I haven't read Two Towers for many years but Faramir was always my favourite of the secondary characters.

I actually didn't mean that it was a quote created by you, but that it was one you use as your sig and not part of the game.

Here's a marginally less obscure one I'm sure you'll know...

"We did all evolve from predators. . . Well, not me, of course. I was just programmed by predators."
