Hello,
I've been visiting this site for almost 10 years. I lurked for quite a while before I joined, and since have met a lot of interesting people. Some I even consider friends. I love Firefly. That was the reason for joining here, and I remember when it was still so very fresh that practically every thread was devoted to it. Discussions, debates, ideas for ways that it should continue. It was a great time, and the sense of community was very strong. Joss himself even posted here(before I joined).
I remember some of the members that have long since left. Succatash(crazy, and invintive) Thatweirdgirl and Manwithpez. I think they are married now but I haven't seen them around these parts in a while.
Thanks Haken for such a fantastic site.
And to all of you that have entertained my thoughts in the past few years I just want to say thank you. You have helped me through some pretty rough times in my life, and I hope I returned the favor when some of you were down also. I also shared some awesome moments here. Laughing, and goofy times abound.
I want to get away from the internet a little, try different things, and basically explore life. for a long while my life has been work, interenet, tv, food, and sleep.
I have to change this. Time is going by too fast, and I want to try something different, not being anchored to my computer each day should allow a lot of extra free time.
If Firefly/Serenity returns in any signifigant way trust me, I'll be back here quicker than anything.

Again, thanks everyone. You people are great, and I have had a blast here!

I'd offer to save a strawberry for you, OPPY, but you know that doesn't work well even with modern technology.
Mudder's, too, requires a certain freshness or it tastes like the lining in the right armpit of a suede browncoat after an outing on Santho.
We've some hodgeberry wine not yet bottled (in barrels since a wild crush party 7 or 8 years ago?) so I'll put a case by for returning prodigals whoever they may be. Bottle for you included.

Y'welcome! We'll raise a bottle in your honor to see you down the ramp, but there's no way I'm saving any for later. Dang stuff gets downright explosive after too many gravity/weightless cycles. Even if we disagree, it's a shame to see you go. Take a vacation from here-- I did, for awhile, and I'm back, but much calmer. SO step way for a time, but drop back in and visit. We'll leave the light ( over the airlock ) on for ya.

OPPYH, I hope that in reality your departure is only giving yourself a break, even if it is an extended one. I never want to think that a fellow browncoat is leaving for good. Yes you should enjoy the other things life has to offer besides your usual. I feel that we may be in the same boat at times.

Anyhoo, good luck in all your endeavors, and check back often. If we can’t get another season of Firefly, or a sequel to the BDM, maybe we can at least rate a mini-series on tv at some point.

Alot of people are gone, the chatroom used to be busy everyday. I find myself searhing for info about the cast of "BONES" these day then that of "Firefly". The cast has moved on to other projects just like alot of Browncoats have left this site.
