I'm sure the books will fly off the racks....in San Francisco

I can't wait to see the reboot of the film, Jim Parsons can star in it.

Meanwhile Maggie Sawyer, Renee Montoya, and Obsidian have actually been written out of the Nu52.

And Batwoman is apparently just being ignored.

When this bombs then what? Do they really think people want to see a gay super hero? No one wanted to see the movie when he was straight, this will distroy the comic and they'll call everyone who stopped buying it "bigots".

Gay spy would be much more interesting. Who does the enemy send in to seduce a gay or bisexual spy?

A superantihero comic named The Gay Cannibal will sell 100s of millions of copies.

His superpower is being invisible to TSA airport screeners.

Jared Leto can be the superantihero, making the world safe for heterosexuals by eating 1 homo at a time.

Real cannibal starred in snuff gay porn, a very profitable genre

I recently read an article from Britain speculating that Batman would be coming out of the closet. I have no problem with a super hero or a super villain being gay, and with them coming out as long as there is a story involved. I am a little upset with DC for making it the Green Lantern, because Batman coming out would explain a lot between him and Robin, and because Green Lantern coming out does not exactly risk a movie franchise. Granted, the Green Lantern coming out gives them excuse for making a second movie to see if it too will fail, but the thought "with little risks comes little rewards" arises.

This was a double post.

A proton walks into a bar and orders a Tom Collins.
After the drink is done the Bartender asks the proton if he would like another.
The proton declined another drink.
A few minutes later the Bartender ask, "Are you sure you don't want another drink?"
The proton replies, "I'm positive."

It isn't even one of "the" Green Lanterns, though, it's Alan Scott. He's a Green Lantern from an alternate universe.

Hell, even before the Nu52, he wasn't generally considered a "real" GL --he was an old Golden Age magic-using hero who called himself "Green Lantern" but was never actually part of the Corps.

It's the very definition of tokenism, which admittedly is what the Nu52 seems entirely built on (replacing the multi-ethnic and gender-balanced cast with a smaller cast of white males [and a few token sex-objects]).

Kind of agree with storymark, gay is not the same thing as pedophile.

Though there's way too much subtext in a few of the Batman and Robin relationships and I'm not even gonna go there, beyond to say most of comes from the Robins, less so much Batman.

Batman is... probably asexual? Or bi, he has a thing with catwoman and seems to have something with superman.

I've seen it broken down on other forums:

Bruce: straight or asexual (Batman normally has no interest in any relationships.)

Dick: straight (romantically linked to Starfire, Barbara, and god knows who else.)

Jason: unknown

Tim: probably straight (dating Stephanie, kissed Wonder Girl, yet turned down Ravager cold, and tried obsessively to resurrect Superboy [which he didn't do when he thought Steph was dead].)

Damian: tsundere / whatever others don't want him to be. ;)

Selina: probably straight

Barbara: straight (romantically linked to Dick.)

Cassie Cain: unknown (she once made out with Superboy, but expressed no real interest in him otherwise.)

Stephanie: straight (dating Tim.)

Kate Kane: lesbian (formerly romantically linked to Renee)

Alfred: probably straight (he was apparently a talented womanizer in his youth)

Commissioner Gordon: straight (married twice, once divorced, once widower)

Harvey Bullock: probably straight

Renee Montoya: lesbian (formerly romantically linked to Kate, faced discrimination in the GCPD)

Nick Gage: probably straight (turned down a relationship with Barbara because he could tell there was someone else [Dick] in the picure.)

He also married and had a son with Talia al Ghul.

What reason had proved best ceased to look absurd to the eye, which shows how idle it is to think anything ridiculous except what is wrong.

Let's just call his life extremely dysfunctional and leave it at that.
