We are not trying to keep people out, but we do want to present a united, uniform Battalion of Independent soldiers, and one of the best ways to do this is to look the same.

Hope you get some too Sister. We got a couple of showers last night and they are calling for more this afternoon. It broke the humidity for about 6 hours, but it's beginning to climb again. At least we are down in the high 80s instead of in the 100s so far this week.

I'd just love to be at SDCC, anywhere. I could see HK, Akin, and all the other shiny 'coats at the con, not to mention all the shiny and wonderful things to do, see, purchase!

Fairly certain I would not be camping out overnight for a panel that will wind up on a tv special, dvd, or on YouTube at some point. I'd rather spend that time with people I know doing fun things.

Prepping to get the kids off to college. Daughter moves out this coming Sunday. Both she and my son start classes on Monday. Going to be quiet around the house without them around, but I am looking forward to some down time alone with the wife. Projected path of the storm show it hitting New Orleans than heading up through Arkansas, Missouri, then into Illinois. You should see a bit of rain from the edges of the storm.

Course hurricanes being what they are, and being fickle of nature, who's to say what Issac will really do.

I know that Pvt Griffin is in Louisiana so I hope he is keeping his head down. Same goes for all the browncoats and their families in the areas the storm will touch.

Well, technically a fair number of them met last night. Seems a couple of Purplebellies showed up with warrants for the LtC, Doc, and me, but didn't meet with the success that they might have hoped for in bounding anyone by law. So D*C has come and gone again. Already making plans for next year. Marriott Marquis and Hyatt Regency rooms go online first of October. D*C memberships are currently on their site for $65 through Sept 14th then the price will go up. Got to get mine purchased this week.

I hope so Sister.

Had a good weekend. Hot on Saturday, but plowed through 4 hours of yard work and outdoor projects.

Sunday was very mild. Only got up to 78, low humidity. Got a long ride in, than went downtown with the little lady for a long stroll and window shopping and brunch at our favorite French cafe. Came home than took another long walk in the park to make the most of the gorgeous weather.

Promises to be a beautiful week. Temp in the high 70s and breezy first half of the week. I could hope for an early spring, but knowing Virginia weather we will get a couple of weeks of Indian Summer prior to true fall weather.

Hump Day!

Weather is still mild during the day, if a bit cool in the morning. Have to wear a hoodie and vest to ride the bike in since the mornings are averaging mid 50s here this week. Not that I'm complaining.
