LOS ANGELES (AP) — The "Firefly" saga consists of 14 TV episodes, one big-screen movie and the undiminished passion of the space Western's fans, stars and producers.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the Fox show's abbreviated 2002-03 run, the Science Channel is airing the hourlong "Firefly 10th Anniversary: Browncoats Unite" at 10 p.m. EST Sunday...

I've lost my satellite for most of the weekend, big snowstorm. Hopefully it comes back on.
EDIT:
Phew. Signal back on.

I'm sure in the UK we'll see it before the 20th anniversary Firefly special :(

I don't get the Science Channel.

So many cosplayers in the audience. I think most of the girls asking questions were kind of dressed like Kaylee.
...Carry on.

So, how was it?
Any huge secrets revealed?

Nothing huge revealed. It was Ok. Not great. Could have been longer, shown the entire panel with the fans. Seemed very edited down. Missed not seeing Ron Glass. At this point I've accepted there won't be another movie or any continuation. Too much time has passed.

Quote:I'd be happy with a Firefly monthly comic. Over in the Buffy-verse, there are 4 monthly comics at this moment: Season Nine, Angel & Faith, Willow Wonderland, Spike. Willow and Spike are only for 5 issues, but still that is 4 monthly comics to 0 for Firefly. Zero ought not to be our number.

I thought it was wonderful. The all day marathon, the 10th anniversary special; made me glad to be a Browncoat. Husband did tell me I reminded him of Kaylee; here I thought I was a warrior woman like Zoe!

I loved it. Anything and everything that has to do with Firefly is awesome to me. They need a new series based in the 'verse. Lots of other shows have done it.
Promote it and don't doom it from the start, and it would rock.

Does anyone know, for sure, why Ron Glass was missing from the special?
Though the special was great (thanks Science Channel), I missed seeing Ron, big time. After all, he is a member of the Firefly family.
I'm just a bit bewildered.

I think its too late to make a continuation of the series, everyone is too old and the movie rutted some stuff up. If they did do a continuation it would probably have to be animated and take place before the BDM. I would however like to see a show some day with a whole new ship and new charactors, like Star Trek TNG but Firefly TNG, set 30 years later or something.

I agree with you 100%, too short and hurried. Could have easily been 1.5 to 2 hours. I was wondering if the Science Channel was going to show the entire Comic Con panel discussion, but it felt tacked on towards the end.
Now I don't want to seem ungrateful to the Science Channel, there may have been extenuating circumstances, or, a better thought, they may be thinking of releasing a DVD of the panel discussion. Now I would buy THAT for a dollar!

Agreed. A reboot would totally rock. It looked to me, from the promos, that the Science Channel has committed to showing reruns of great sci-fi shows. That may lead to development of original shows in the future; that's just a wild guess.

I would pay $15. Fair market price.

I saw on another thread (can't seem to find it now,) that the ratings were through the roof. That's got to send a message. We want it back!
BTW, is it just me, or does Summer seem to just keep getting better and better-looking over time?
