I have Re-mastered the Promo trailer from ComicCon...and need to know who to send it to for posting. I do not have anywhere to serve it from. I took the video from one source and the audio from two others to compile the best of the worst. I also brightened up the video so most images can be seen. It is a 10.8 meg AVI file as of now, but can be re-compressed to anything.

Ulitmately, I'd say Haken is the one to talk to.

I'm happy to host it, but I'm limited to 10 meg. It would probably work if you zip it first. If you're interested, send me an email at cobraguy(at)hotmail.com and I'll give you the upload instructions.

I can put it on BitTorrent as well if I can get a copy. You can email me at tmhughes AT uvic DUT ca
(putting in @ for the AT and . for the DUT) if you'd like to go this route and we can figure something out.
It warms my heart to see so many browncoats sharing cool stuff these days!

I think Haken explained how to upload to the ftp.fireflyfans.net ftp server in this thread:

*jaw hits the floor*
I wanna see it! I already have a version downloaded. . . . but it's really low quality.

I just took the one poor quality version, slowed it to half speed (doubled the frames), sharpened it, stretched contrast, etc. - and it sure looked better. There are some shiny scenes hiding in there. Serenity is going to live up to all our expectations, I think - and that's a hard thing to do.

Yay! It certainly is a lot easier to see & hear more stuff in this version. Thanks so much for all your hard work and passing it along to the rest of us!
Here is the .torrent file for the BitTorrenters (which should be a lot of people, well over 2000 copies of the last version went through the last torrent!):

I just downloaded the new version of the trailer and I'm not able to watch it!
I get the sound (wich is indeed MUCH better than the old version) but I get no video.
I have the divx codec installed, so is there some other codec I'm missing?
Thanks!

I find the sound to be a bit better, as I can finally understand what Zoe says at the beginning now, but the picture isn't perfect. But I'm not complaining. At least we got to see it.
I did notice something interesting though:
Select to view spoiler:
At approximately :38 in the clip, we see a shot of the skeleton-looking guy as seen in the photos from the Serenity set.
To see what I'm speaking about above, see the thread

I also get sound, but no video----even in MPlayer.
You must be using one obscure codec if it doesn't work in MPlayer......
Could you please re-encode it into plain old DivX?

Can you put it into mpeg so people can use QuickTime player to view it?

I got it using the BitTorrent (thanks PhysChick, btw). Worked fine in RealPlayer. And big thanks to TheMonch. The pictures are a lot clearer and the audio is much better than the original download. You've probably gotten it as good as it can be got.
I shaved off my beard for you, devil woman!

Mac users: You can't see the video because its encoded with the Indeo Video codec, which isn't available for OSX.
However, you *can* download it for OS9:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/technologies/indeo/
And then you can view the trailer in the Classic version of Quicktime Player.

The MPEG version views in OS X just fine. FYI.
