Glad to hear you had fun at the dog show Sister.

Daughter is home for the holiday and already I have lost my upstairs bathroom and my wife is waiting on her hand and foot. *sigh* While I missed her I certainly didn't miss her inability to clean up behind herself or her penchant for not doing anything to pitch in around the house.

Now I know what the Christmas song meant when it says "And mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again". LOL

Wow. Not much call for rain here, though I've heard that we might see some wind this weekend. Gusts up to 30mph or some such. Might make it difficult to ride if that's the case.

Still, going to make the most of the near Spring like weather. Get some yard work done at the least.

Sounds like you had a soggy, cool weekend. Pretty much the same here. Did not get the promised sun or warmth. Did get up to the high 50s yesterday, but not the promised 70. Did get the bike out a bit yesterday, then it rained and had to put her back. *sigh*

According to The Verge , Deep Space Industries is claiming that it will have unmanned spacecraft - known as the FireFly, of course - in space looking for viable mining asteroids by 2015, with the heavier DragonFly craft bringing back samples soon after.

Deep Space Industries - known as DSi, so we assume a Nintendo lawsuit is on the cards - is also claiming a patent pending "Microgravity Foundry" - a 3D printing system that uses nickel-charged gas to print metal components in a zero gravity environment.

It's worth noting that, unlike the similar company Planetary Resources, Deep Space Industries doesn't have any high-profile backers such as Larry Page or James Cameron. In fact, DSi will probably require sponsorship and public funding for its missions.

Still, we live in a time where multiple initiatives for space mining on asteroids are underway. For our money, that's much better than a flying car.

Whew! Late yesterday afternoon, we learned that our good friend (who has been staying with us after a very bad fall) does NOT have any broken bones; she's still in a wheelchair and will have to see a spinal surgeon next week...but that's very good news for us. GO SATURDAY!!

True, and we'll take that as a kindness. Had rain this morning and snow Friday. Now we're supposed to be sunny and in the high 60s the next two days. Oh, did I mention snow again this Friday? LOL Nothing like living in the middle of the Jetstream to make the weather interesting. At least it looks like I will be able to ride the bike the next couple of days.

Yep, just did managed to get home before the sun set and it began to cool. Cloudy here today, but rode in anyway. Forecast says no rain today as the storm that hit you stalled on the mountains. Looks like the worst of it will blow north / northeast.

Good News, Browncoat1; glad you got your ride in. Spent a wasted day at a hospital yesterday with my friend who's still staying with us after she took a terrible fall. Docs keep ordering x-rays and cat scans; we head BACK to another hospital today for an MRI. Wish we had good docs like Simon. FRIDAY!! CELEBRATE!!

Nope. Didn't see Gina, and as a matter of fact, I have never seen an episode of Castle. I know, I know, I should be supportin' our BDHs, but we cut our cable over two years ago so I don't do a lot of tv watching anymore. Course I do have Netflix and I believe the first three seasons of Castle are on there. Heard good things about it and should give it a chance, though I admit cop type dramas aren't my forte.

Hump Day Eve. Sun's out, at least for today. Calling for rain tomorrow, but Thursday and Friday are looking good so I might be getting in a bit of riding if the temp holds.

Reckon we're about due a new thread too. Part 45 will be posted tomorrow.
