It is indeed Thor's Day and Friday Eve! Couple that with a new episode of Vikings (in which we will see both Bjorn and Lagertha fighting in battle) and I call it a win! The fact I got to ride today is just icing on the cake!

Excellent episode of Vikings! A bit heart wrenching at the end, but excellent nonetheless.

Rain tonight and all weekend, but the bike is in the shop getting some custom work anyway so no worries. It will just have to be a PS4 and chores indoors sort of weekend.

Wife and I are volunteering w/ Susan G Komen tonight at a charity event so we will have our good deed out of the way. ;)

We'll count it as one Sister. After a long rainy weekend I am ready for sun! Clear and mid 60s here today. A bit of wind, but I'll take that over the rain any ruttin' day. Picking up the bike from the shop tonight so I will get a bit of riding in this evening.

I am indeed Sister! Picked the bike up yesterday on the way home so I got some time in last night. Rode her to work this morning, and being 68 this afternoon and the sun being out it will be a fantastic ride home. Calling for 81 degrees tomorrow. Hopefully we are through with Winter.

Forecast is 81 today, cloudy and mid 70s tomorrow, then rain Friday Sister. Seems we are still about a day or so behind you weather wise. Supposed to be a decent weekend though so hopefully that weather blows through your area quickly.

Still trying to see if I can swing D*C this year. Still on the fence finance wise, but we'll see. If nothing else I'd like to at least make Saturday for the parade and to see everyone. Guess it is up to the Norns to decide.

30% chance of rain all day here, but it has held off so far. Radar map shows some rain just west of us, but it is a small arm of a front down south of us around Petersburg so we may escape it dry before it's all said and done.

Sold off my old Suzuki motorcycle last night and got a bit more than I had hoped for it. Yay for money! Hopefully some of that coin can get me to ATL in September, but we'll have to wait and see.

Thor's Day! Hail the Protector of Midgard! Hopefully he will see fit to keep the storms away today.

Can't wait for Vikings tonight! Want to see Lagertha lay the beat down on her no good husband!

Lagertha does rule! She reminds my of my own Shield Maiden! Stoked for the Game of Thrones season premiere! Got to watch the last couple of episodes from the previous season as a refresher.

Big Suck. Bah!

Season opener was a bit slow, but good to have it back on. Last 5-7 minutes w/ The Hound and Arya in the tavern w/ the Lanister men was the best part of the whole episode.

Good weekend. Sunny and warm. Spent hours detailing the Harley and got some riding in. None today though thanks to the rain. Still they are calling for clear warm weather the rest of the week. Should be a good one.

Agree on the slow pace, but I think it was to establish where everyone was. Last few minutes were worth it!
It's Hump Day eve…and sunny here in TN. One of our neighbor's trees blew over onto the roof of my husband's shop..no severe damage…just a mess to clean up.

Sorry to hear about the mess Sister, but glad to hear there was no real damage.

Thought I was going to get to ride today since the rain knocked off around 3pm yesterday, but apparently around 4am this morning it decided to get one parting shot making it too damp to ride. Oh well, guess we will need the rain and I can ride the rest of the week.

Next Sunday's episode of GoT looks good. The royal wedding should provide a good bit of drama and entertainment.

Got to ride the "5 & Dime" Saturday. Took the Harley along Route 5 down to Colonial Williamsburg to the water, then hopped the ferry across to Scotland Landing where I picked up Route 10 and followed that back into Richmond. Stopped at a little BBQ place on 10 for a bite to eat. Pretty good beef brisket.

Spring is in the air, but so is the pollen. Haven't gotten the heavy dosing we normally do this time of year, but I figure as wet as it has been recently that may have delayed it some. Got to get the grass cut this afternoon after work.

Oh, and Sister, as to the last episode of Vikings only two things. "Blood Eagle" and Yarl Lagertha!

Been raining since o'dark thirty this morning. Few scattered thunderstorms rolled through. Few power outages. Temp is dropping and expected to dip just below freezing tonight. High tomorrow is showing as 55 degrees and temps the rest of the week are low 60s. Rain is supposed to taper off this afternoon / early evening. Hope it dries up enough to ride in the morning. If not I will live, but I will not be at all happy.

At least it is not Monday anymore! I'll take that as a win.

Cold the past couple of nights, but high 50s yesterday and today. Supposed to creep back up into the 60s tomorrow. Back in the saddle after two days of rain and cold. Weekend is looking pretty good so far.

Yay for new episode of Vikings! Yarls Ragnar and Lagertha take their son, Bjorn, to Wessex to raid and get revenge on Ecbert! Should be a good one. Only three episodes left this season. :(

Previews left me concerned that King Horik's reckless lust for revenge will see him dining in Valhalla before the end of next week's episode. Seems that only Ragnar is keeping his wits about him and Lagertha is wise enough to follow his lead.

Had to buy a new lawnmower last night since the old one finally gave up the ghost this past weekend. Now I have a jungle to cut so the new one will have it's work cut out for it.

Long live Yarl Lagertha! She was a Valkyrie personified on the battlefield! Ragnar fought like a man possessed, as did Bjorn, a chip off of the old block. Glad Rollo lived. Happy to see Althelson made the decision to return to his adopted family. Wish they would have explained that creepy, toothy creature that was in his bedchamber that night a few episodes back.

Did you get rain yesterday Sister? They are calling for a 70% chance of thunderstorms here this afternoon. I know we are normally about 24 hours behind you in TN.

We got a torrential downpour Friday afternoon. Got some heavy showers off and on throughout the late afternoon, but just after five o'clock the rain came so heavy that visibility on the drive home was down to 10-15 feet at points. Only lasted about 20 minutes or so, but it made the beginning of the weekend interesting to say the least. The peals of thunder from Thor's wrath lasted into the mid evening. Of course I love thunderstorms. ;)

Had a good weekend other than a lot of frustration with a brand new lawn mower that sought to thwart my will Saturday. Right out of the box and aftern an initial cutting, then shutting it off long enough to dump the grass catch bag, it would not start for anything. I spent a couple of hours working with it trying to get it to work. It was all I could do not to channel my inner Jayne and use a grenade on the ruttin' thing. Took it back Sunday and exchanged it for another which seems to work fine. Guess it was just my Mal luck that I got stuck with a lemon out of the crate.

Did get some riding in Saturday and Sunday with the nice weather. The wife was free for a change this weekend so we spent some time together, had dinner out at an Indian place nearby that we have always wanted to try, and just puttered around the yard and house getting things done.

Hope the Big Suck is treating everyone well. We are supposed to have raing starting this afternoon and going all the way through late Thursday. Supposed to be heavy thunderstorms with an amount of 5 + inches of rain total. Going to be a wet, dreary week, but at least I will be stuck indoors at work. ;)

WOW…we had narrow escapes from tornados last evening and night! BIG storms, Hope everyone is safe. Weather pukes are predicting MORE nasty storms this afternoon and evening. As I told my husband, I have picked out plans for a new house if this one gets blown away.
Sorry about the 'mower drama', Browncoat1; several years ago we traded in a full-on tractor for a professional model zero turn mower that cuts our 7-acre 'yard' in less than half the time.
Batten down the hatches for more storms!

Been raining here since mid day Monday. Heavy rain this morning and supposed to have thunderstorms moving in shortly that will last most of the night. Calling for heavy rains, but we'll see as the weatherman tends to be a bit overdramtic. Hopefully the rain will stop by mid day tomorrow as they are predicting. Sure would be nice to get back in the saddle.

Season Finale of Vikings was awesome! A bit saddened the season is over already. It is a LONG time until next February when it comes back again. At least I have Game of Thrones, but I believe that only has five more episodes before the season is over. *sigh*

Great weather this weekend. Got in a lot of riding. Went to the H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) meeting w/ a friend from work on Saturday. Kind of on the fence about joining. All of the riders in the local chapter, with the exception of 2 (out of 180 members) are older than me. While that is not a huge problem, it does present a bit of a disconnect. I am also a bit put off by the fact that the majority are Harley snobs and they won't allow riders who own something other than an HD to even attend events. They do have a lot of fun, plan lots of rides, cookouts, and do charity work that I am interested in, but the elitist attitude really turns me off.

Sunny this morning so I rode. 30% chance of rain this afternoon, but the siren song of the road was too strong to resist this morning.

Two's day….
I agree the season finale of Vikings was AWESOME!! But now the long wait begins.
Browncoat1…my husband felt the same about HOG; and both the 'disconnect' and the other things. He was kind of 'shut out' on a ride in Colorado when he rode his Vincent. He's still got Harleys…and literally hundreds of other bikes so he doesn't get to ride as much as he'd like. Too bad, as the weather has been perfect for it.

I am going to give HOG a try for one year Sister to see how it goes. The guy who invited me to go, a friend from work, is insistent that this chapter is a great group that does charity work. We'll see. I will sign up the end of the month prior to the June meeting and see how it goes.

Weather here has been pretty good. Sunny and warm today and supposed to get up into the 90s the rest of the week. Making for some great riding weather. Itching for a rally / long ride to sink my teeth into.

Hot and humid here, but I will take that over damp, cold. Getting in lots of riding and it sure makes work far more tolerable if I can ride in and home w/ my favorite therapist.

They were calling for a slight chance of thunderstorms here today, but looks like that has dropped to nearly zero chance since the weather shifted again.

I am coming to the sad conclusion that D*C may not be in the cards for me again this year. With the wife having her big national pageant in July in Las Vegas, the expense to get us out there and for me to get a hotel for 3 days our vacation budget will be shot. She is Mrs Virginia United States and it has been a long time coming, so I guess the loss of not being at D*C and seeing my 76th family is offset by the fact that Autumn is realizing one of her long time goals / dreams. There is always next year I suppose. *sighs*

Tuesday's ride got damp thanks to slow moving / texting drivers and a summer thunderstorm that brought both me and the bike an unexpected bath. LOL Soaked to the bone by the time I got in the driveway, but what are you going to do?

Rode today since the rain is not supposed to start until around 7pm or so. Any time in the saddle is good time.

Hump Day is behind us, which means it is Friday Eve! Weekend isn't far off and today should be a relatively calm day here at work. Keep your fingers crossed.

Ride was barely dry. Beat the rain home last night by two minutes. Poured rain for about 14 hours here. Got flooding in some areas. Sun is finally peaking back out. Supposed to be sunny all weekend and temps in the mid 70s, so perfect for riding.

Wow Sister, you've had a bit of bad luck of late, no? Hope you feel better soon. How'd you manage to sprain both your wrist and elbow? Fighting off Reavers?

Had some pretty heavy rain on Friday night. Saturday and Sunday were mostly sunny. Got the trash hauled off to the dump and did a ton of work in the yard. We redid both front flower beds, added a new bed to the side of the house, weeded, laid down mulch, reworked the mulch around the trees, trimmed the hedges, planted new flowers and bushes, cut the grass, cleaned the gutters, and other odd jobs. Beautiful day to be outside all day. The rain Friday night kept the temp cool both days so easy doing manual work outside.

Got some riding time in. Met with the HOG Chapter director and his wife Saturday morning early and spent some time at the MS Rally for charity. All in all a good weekend.

Hump Day! Long Holiday weekend to look forward to coming up. Wife and I will be heading down to SC to visit her hometown, a visit with her pageant coach, and just to get a change of scenery.

Chance at rain tonight and tomorrow. You get rain yesterday Sister? If so I reckon we'll be seeing it late today. The later the better as far as I am concerned. LOL

Sprained the elbow and wrist doing yard work…cold IS getting better. You have a great time this holiday weekend. We did not get rain yesterday..and just have a 30 percent chance tomorrow. I've been watering the veggie garden and taking dogs to the vets and groomers today…I think I need a nap.

Glad to hear your cold is starting to subside. Hope the sprains get better soon.

A nap sounds like a solid plan. Calling for 30% chance from now until 6 then it jumps to 50%. Hardly a cloud in the sky and those are not rain clouds. Radar shows no rain in the nearby area so I think I will have a dry ride home.

Should have a fun weekend. The wife and I love road trips and visiting her home town is always fun.

Glad to hear he is doing well Sister. Thoughts his was that he heals quickly.

Had the rain / hail storm from Hel yesterday. 60mph winds, torrential rains, and hail enough for anyone that hit around 5. Knocked out power and made a mess of trees all around the office and surrounding areas. Had to stick around until 6:30 when the roads dried up enough to ride home last night, but still a good ride.

Had a pretty busy weekend. Pretty good, but could have done with a lot less driving (16 hours all told), a bit less pageant duty (8 hours all in) and some more relaxing. Good to see Columbia and luckily it was cooler than normal for this time of year.

House cleaning party for most of the day yesterday. Did get to ride the bike out to the Virginia War Memorial to pay my respects, than to Hollywood Cemetary to visit the graves of the honored Confederate dead who war buried there.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and that you all remembered the reason for the holiday. Short week ahead and no Big Suck should make it a good one.

Rain last night. Rain in the forecast this afternoon, tonight and tomorrow. Mother Nature is really eating into my riding time. Seriously contemplating this moving to South Carolina thing so I have more time to ride. Sure it's hotter, but it is drier too.

Well, after three days of rain, and some nasty thunderstorms, I said screw it and rode this morning. It was drizzling just enough to make things damp, but I was past caring, especially with a forecast showing a good chance of a sight of the sun this afternoon at quitting time. The bike & I have dried out and are itching to ride this afternoon.

Hope you get that rain soon Sister. Our forecast looks clear until mid next week.

Weather in TN the same…hot, hot, hot and sweaty-humid!! Get stuff done EARLY in the day before the heat becomes unbearable.
I did go see "Malificent' yesterday and really liked it! Of course, I have always felt that villains in old tales had a lot more backstory than was told…so I enjoyed this retelling!

Wishing for rain here in Tennessee…and talk about humid! This is August weather in June; terrified at what the real August will bring!
Good weekend though; just gotta get the outside stuff done early and retreat to A/C.
Big garden just about all planted with veggies…chickens watered and fed. New episode of "Game of Thrones' tonight..so not a bad day at all!

Had a good weekend. Rode with the Steel Horse HOG Chapter from Midlothian out to Norfolk for lunch, then over to Bayside Harley Davidson dealership, then finally back home. Took scenic route both ways so we wound up being gone most of the day Saturday, but what a great ride! Good bunch of folks. Had ten of us riding together.

Sunday was fairly mild temperature wise so we got yard work done, the trash hauled off, watered the garden and tended to the flower beds.

Sunny and warm today, so we will be watering our flower and vegetable gardens again tonight. Calling for a possibility of rain again tomorrow, but unlike our UK counterpart I doubt the outlook is very good. Perhaps we are past the wet spell we've had the past couple of months and are about to go into the usual hot, humid, dry spell we get every summer.

Don't say that, Browncoat1!! I'm STILL awaiting a wet spell! We've had a forecast calling for rain every day and hardly got a drop. Heh.
I did give my garden a good soaking yesterday and I've got a high school kid starting tomorrow to help around here which will be great. At least Big Suck is in the rear view!

Hope you get that rain Sister. I know you could use it. We have a 40% chance around 5pm which drops to a 20% around 7pm so who knows. Last few times we got this forecast we wound up getting nothing. Could use a bit of rain ourselves, but it is up to Mother Nature I suppose. Should be a good chance since I rode the Harley today. LOL
