Islamist gunmen massacre 49 on Kenya coast

Around 50 heavily-armed gunmen drove into the town of Mpeketoni, near the coastal island and popular tourist resort of Lamu, late on Sunday, officials said.

Witnesses said they first attacked a police station, before starting to randomly shoot at civilians, some of whom had been watching the World Cup in local bars and hotels.

District deputy commissioner Benson Maisori said several buildings in the town -- which is around 100 kilometres (60 miles) from the border with Somalia -- were burned down including hotels, restaurants, banks and government offices.

"There were around 50 attackers, heavily armed in three vehicles, and they were flying the Shebab flag. They were shouting in Somali and shouting 'Allahu Akbar' ('God is Greatest')," he said, adding they attacked a police station but officers fought them off.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Al al-Sheikh, the highest religious authority in the country, said Tuesday that the militant groups Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) and Al-Qaeda were "enemy number one of Islam" and not in any way part of the faith.

Although the mufti and other senior Saudi preachers have condemned ISIS, Al-Qaeda and other groups before, the timing of Sheikh's statement is significant given the gains by militants in Iraq.

"Extremist and militant ideas and terrorism which spread decay on Earth, destroying human civilization, are not in any way part of Islam, but are enemy number one of Islam, and Muslims are their first victims," he said in a statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency.

All religions are problematic. This is a bunch of nuts and I hope like hell this incident is the beginning of the end for them. These are Sunni’s and in order to erratic them we need Sunni’s to do it. Saudi Araba and other Sunni countries have to recognize ICEL is a runaway train. I believe at first they saw this as an answer to Iran in the area. A group that would bolster their strength. Seeing ICEL is a threat to them as well, they have to help fund the fight and take them on. We will help from the air.

This is part of the dilemma Obama faces. If he just jumps in before he has his coalition, they will not join us in this struggle. It is the same dilemma he faces with Europe. They have to be on board as well. The country has to stay patient until it all comes together.

Q: Why announce that you failed to release him ? Doesn't that only embolden ISIS all the more, knowing the U.S. tried to move directly at them only to fail, and then they end up killing the hostage anyway ?

And why burn any possible intel leads you had by revealing this plan ? Hell, even if it failed, you know how reliable and accurate your source is, and now so does ISIS.

And FYI, there are ALWAYS U.S. citizens who are captured and held captive by SOME group, all around the world. It just doesn't always get reported. So that's nothing new that Obama has had to face, and not other Presidents. Usually these things get taken care of through back channels.

That's debatable, to me it is only a failure if you do not try. Dealing with what is going on in the Middle East is going to take a long time. We sent a very good message. We went into Syria with planes, helicopters and troops. That sends a pretty good message.

The problem is the French and others pay ransoms. I recently heard the French paid 10 million apiece for four hostages. That’s 40 million dollars France sent to al Qaeda. That creates quite the incentive to keep doing it. Again we need Europe to step up to the plate and stop rewarding these people. All they are doing is funding the terrorists. As for who is most responsible for ISEL, that may be Assad in Syria. He released many of them from his prisons and avoided attacking them as they gathered strength. This is what he wanted. Now there is the, enemy of my enemy is my friend element that Assad wanted. Some have been saying all along Assad wanted to draw other counties into the conflict. Apparently the Saudi’s helped arm ISEL and it would be stupid to let them and other Sunni Arab states off the hook for this.

Assad already has the backing of Iran AND Russia. Iranian Youth Behind 'Happy' Video Sentenced

Six young Iranian men and women videotaped dancing to Pharrell Williams' "Happy" and the homemade video's director have been sentenced to suspended jail terms and lashes, their lawyer said Friday.

The Iranians' case attracted international attention when they were detained in May for participating in a production deemed indecent by hard-liners in Iran. The video showed the men and women, none of whom wore obligatory headscarves, dancing together in sunglasses and silly clothes on Tehran rooftops and alleyways.

Lawyer Farshid Rofugaran said the seven received suspended sentences of six months in jail and 91 lashes each. He said the suspended jail term was punishment for acting in the video and the lashes for ignoring Islamic norms.

The suspended sentences mean that verdicts against the defendants won't be carried out unless they commit crimes and are found guilty in the next three years.

"My clients did act in a video and their actions are contrary to religious requirements but are not crimes to deserve legal punishment. Saying prayers is a religious obligation in Islam but no one gets jail terms for not saying prayers," he told The Associated Press on Friday.

I have been hearing rumors lately about KFC.
Apparently, KFC can no longer use "chicken" in their name, so they are required to use KFC, or KFG (grilled), or similar. This is supposed to be because they no longer seve actual chicken, but clones of chicken, so the C in KFC stands for clones. Some have said that the "food" arrives from outside USA, without ever having had a head, they are "grown" without heads or internal organs, just cloned and "grown" in some way.

Anybody know if this is correct?

Regardless, I'll be avoiding KFC more now that they are hiring and capitulating to muslim terrorists.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A man fired from an Oklahoma food processing plant beheaded a woman with a knife and was attacking another worker when he was shot and wounded by a company official, police said Friday.

MOORE, Oklahoma -- Following the brutal beheading of a woman in an Moore, Oklahoma, a photo began circulating the web allegedly showing a large group of Muslims at a press conference reading from the Koran and shouting "praise Allah!"

Breitbart Texas asked a Moore Police Department Public Affairs Officer, Jeremy Lewis, if a group of Muslims were in fact protesting after the press conference yesterday.
"No, there was not," Lewis told Breitbart Texas.

The beheading took place at Vaughan Foods, where the suspect, Alton Nolen, previously worked. Breitbart Texas obtained a press release from the City of Moore stating that Nolen was "angry" after he had been fired from Vaughan Foods.

Nolen severed the head of 54-year-old Colleen Hufford. The suspect then began stabbing 43-year-old Traci Johnson when Mark Vaughan, Vaughan Foods' former CEO and a reserve deputy, shot him. Johnson is currently at a hospital in stable condition.

Nolen had apparently converted to radical Islam earlier in the year. Breitbart News reported that he had tried to convert coworkers at Vaughan Foods to Islam.
