Hello there,

Still tryin' to fig how I missed this show all them years ago.
I got it on my hard drive after repeatedly hearing mention of it on other podcasts I've been listening to. Fig'd it'd be about time to sit & see what this was.

Talk about being late to the party....

Even more surprised to see still functioning groups & message boards.
Great & Grand stuff that they still be.

Hey Highway, don't worry, it's only been 12 years. The boards here have quieted down a lot in recent years. Perhaps you can spark 'em up with some interesting posts.

Welcome aboard the best boat in the 'verse. We've been getting new recruits fairly regularly even after all these years. I'm actually surprised there aren't more considering how many mentions Firefly gets on many sites. Be sure to keep spreading the word. You can't stop the signal.

Well...I'd havta say it was about 30 or so mins into the pilot episode, when Simon is infront of everyone in the Common Room explaining about he & River. It struck me that these are each folks that you CARE about. Each & every one.

I made the mistake of, when I sat down & said "I'm gonna start watchin' this stuff", I started with Serenity The Movie.
Finished it & was kinda confused. I liked but it just didn't seem to stick.
So I waited a bit & then started with the pilot ep. & that was when it took.
Spent rest of that day watchin eps. back to back (1st time mind you). Got through all but last 3. Did them over next 2 days.
Cursin' & Cussin' Fox the Whole gorram Time.
Next weekend I think'll be spent doin' it all over again.
Although I have re-watched the pilot a few time now.

Also found a coupla Firefly podcasts: Firefly Talk & The Signal.
Since I am just a general laborer my, doin my job for 8 or 10 hrs a day, it is spent gettin' lost listenin' to podcasts. The Signal I Really took a likin' to so I'm gonna see about knockin' out all 10 seasons of it.

Don't feel too bad about watching the movie first…I saw that on cable and didn't realize it was based on the best television show ever created!

BSG ? Well now, that's another that I have sittin' about on my drive that's eventually gonna get a lookin' to.
All 4 seasons of it.
Eventually.
I grew up watchin' the original ( yeah...that old)
Good Stuffs.

Yup. Firefly is A WAYS up there.
I was for the longest time a Star Wars fan (still very much am)...saw it in '77.
But THIS...
Well, ....
it's in it's Own space.
Not comparable (not to me anyways)

Hello back, DBell,

Yup, I have '04 BSG movie & 4 seasons on my 'drive.
Watched the movie several several times.
Just gotta get to sittin' & watch the seasons. Times a' commin'to soon.
They done it right, fer sure.

Just this past weekend I sat and for only my 2nd look at Serenity.
Went through the 14 a couple times AFTER watchin' the Movie 1st.

Done it RIGHT this time.

I am Soooo far behind all you folks.

But Damn Glad to be a Browncoat now.
