True, but the old fart is a Democrat. But the Dems don't have to worry, Oregon will stay a blue state for a long time. Nationally this makes the Dems look bad, but will do little damage in lib Oregon. That's why the Dems in Oregon have bailed on him. Plus the MSM will not cover this like they would cover a Republican, Christy became the poster boy of corruption when a few of his people moved some traffic cones, the MSM will do a story on this (so they can say they did so) and move along.

Kitzhaber's First Lady Cylvia Hayes married an Ethiopian immigrant in 1997. Hayes said it was an illegal green card marriage into which she entered for money.

If you notice the MSM is good at covering NYC and DC, but other states are ignored...until a Gov or Mayor in another state do something REALLY icky.

Right now, the most obvious manifestation is Senator Rand Paul’s “Audit the Fed” campaign. Mr. Paul liked to warn that the Fed’s efforts to bolster the economy will lead to hyperinflation; he loved talking about the wheelbarrows of cash that people carted around in Weimar Germany. But he’s been saying that since 2009, and it keeps not happening. So now he has a new line: The Fed is an overleveraged bank, just as Lehman Brothers was, and will experience a disastrous collapse of confidence any day now.

This story is wrong on so many levels, but let’s simply note that the Fed’s “liabilities” consist of cash, and those who hold that cash have the option of converting it into, well, cash. No, the Fed can’t fall victim to a bank run. But is Mr. Paul being ostracized for his views? Not at all.
