Does any of this have to do with the "Click Here For Support" pop-up I'm seeing at the bottom-right corner of my screen on the home page, or is that something no one else is seeing? It's not on any other page here or any other site I've visited lately, but it started yesterday.

No. That's something else I'm trying. I plan to work on the site a lot more and I thought that implementing a ticketing system to help me keep track of things would help me get things done in a more timely manner.

You had me at "Freelancer". :) My favorite game starship of all time was the Galaxy class transport from "Freelancer".

If FFO played a bit like "Freelancer" I wouldn't complain over much.

Also...thanks Haken! I have a feeling that, eventually, this section of the forum will be useful for those of us playing the game.

Of course, my post was in the form of a legit question, I'm glad there's a response with some shared knowledge. (I've mostly only play Freelancer with the Discovery mod, I'm not sure what the "Galaxy" looks like.)

I'm guessing FFO is too far from being done for there to be any info on the interface, POV, controls, or handling.

There is some information out there. Qmx has put videos out of what the space flight will look like, and the "combat/exploring" graphics. It looks like the C/E is going to be in third person view. Spaceflight will most likely be a combination of cockpit view and "aft to fore". So, from that respect, something like "Freelancer".

Humble apologies, btw. I got my games confused. The Galaxy was from a "Freelancer" predecessor called "Wing Commander: Privateer". Having played all of them in the day they do tend to get jumbled up a bit in the black hole of my skull.

Well, I plopped down the $4.99 for the BDH kit. I'm now invested in this project, so the game should be damn solid when/if it's released.

Through exploring and doing runs, I'm up to lvl 50. Giddiness while earning crates and loot did occur.

I almost didn't make my first Daily run, as it took a few seconds for my tired brain to realize that the timer was clocking DOWN. Crap! Made it with about only 6 sec to spare.

Are there going to be space stations in the game? On the Map, without messing with the view, click on White Sun -> then on Londinium. In the background between Londinium and Colchester is... something. Maybe a space station or derelict ship; it's too small to make out.

I'm kicking myself now. A couple days ago I realized you got bonus Loot (useless? badges) for having multiples of cards. Crap! I'm lvl 170 on the Cortex now, and I've been selling all my duplicates!

Do the Daily Runs (that sounds like it has another disgusting meaning) remind any one else of the "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego" TV show's final map game?

I am really starting to think this game might be dead, which sucks. We have been in limbo for almost 8 months with no news. The facebook, keep flying website and cortex have had no updates for a year. The wait with no news is getting ridicules.

The game is one of those massive multiplayer things that got started, even got the crew to do the voices and is now stuck in legal limbo land. It's on Steam. I think you had to buy your ship designs, but since it's going nowhere all you can do is "missions" and find all the planets for cards and badges. They even took down the "pay for" epic cards. I guess I should delete it, but I still have hope that one day we'll stop getting screwed over.

I think that is why I am still here, the "getting screwed over" part feels so familiar, it's like coming home
