Cheers, young lady, for keeping my place.

Only three more days of work to go... [edited] then they gave me 800 envelopes to fill and send out, and all that goodwill evaporated.

BUT! proof that there is karma [edited]

Plus - last night I met 6 new people, who had not only heard of Firefly, but loved it - and also understood the d'Artagnan obsession. It's not often that happens. It would be in my last week in this city though.

If I didn't still have 300 of those envelopes to go, things would be going quite well...

Whooaaaaa whoooaaaa whoooaaaa, looking for the cities of gold. Doo do do do do do, aaaaaaaaaaaah, cities of gold.

Yup, that and Battle of the Planets but my personal favourite was Ulysses 31, the futuristic revision of the Odyssey with No-No, small robot you know. Interestingly all these stories had proper beginnings, middles and ends.

Today I have finished the envelopes. Now I am cataloguing the library. We have lots of new exciting books with strange titles like 'Copyright Act 1911' and 'Type speciman book' and....'Memoirs of an Erotic Bookseller'??

Nothing says "We will miss you working here" like giving someone 800 envelopes to fill and send out in their last week.

My d'Artagnan obsession is limited to trying to work out if you could in real life slice an apple by throwing it in the air and waving your sword fiercely at it.
