Today is my birthday, and was feeling a little let down because I hadn't gotten any cards or calls from friends, so my husband decided to take me out for brunch at a restaurant within walking distance from our house. On the way there, we walked past a small theater where they show second-run movies. Lo and behold, there is a "Firefly" poster in the "Now Playing" window of the theater. My husband rented the entire theater and invited all our friends for a surprise birthday/DVD viewing party! We got to watch 2 episodes and the gag reel on the big screen. He even had a cake with a picture of Serenity on it. I am the happiest 41 year old geek in the world!
