Tribute to a Friend

I'm writing this for a buddy of mine. He'll likely never see it, which is just fine. We've been friends now for over a year, and roommates for nearly a year. Last week Friday he got called up, and he ships out for his staging area to...day I guess it'd be now.... and a week or so later he'll be downrange in Iraq.

While we all knew that as a Army Reservist he was going to eventually get the call, the suddeness of it was unexpected. He'll only be out on the sharp end for a year... but a years a long time. I'm gonna miss the guy.

So, may whichever dietys you believe in look after my friend Sargent Tyler J Anderson. If not for me, then for his new wife (because of his deployment he and his fiance got married on Monday) April.

I know I and his family will do the best we can to make sure everything is here for him when he gets back. So, thats all he's gotta worry about.

Do your job brother, keep your head down, and represent our country to the best you can. We'll handle the rest.

And we'll be waiting.
