So This is Earth Day...

Okay, so really it's two hours until it technically starts here. Let's just say I'm mentally on Eastern time for a few minutes.

Anyway, in some alternate universe somewhere, we're all so giddy we can't sleep because Serenity opens today! Today! It's here! We've waited so long for this and now it's here! We all get to skip out on work or claim that Earth Day is a religious holiday for us and secretly meet at the theatres, showing the world just how fecking cool Firefly really is!!

Unfortunately, we're not in that alternate universe right now. We're here and we still have about five months of anticipation. But I guess there's worse things: Doctor Who fans had to wait 16 years for their show to return to any screen! And I just noticed there's some new Serenity merch (books) out. I'm so bummed that Finding Serenity doesn't appear to be at any of my local Borders bookstores. But maybe I'll swing by a Barnes & Noble tomorrow and see if I can't find it.
