I was at the London screening on Wednesday night and Joss was asked about the sequel in the Q&A afterwards. He said that the numbers being floated around e.g. $80 mill were bunk. He suggested that if Serenity did Ok and did well on DVD then they might just make a sequel for less money… He also hinted he’s kept back some nice little storylines for the sequel, which suggests he’s pretty hopeful that there may be one ...

We’ll all just have to hope … but if not, Serenity is good enough for me!

Still, if they can make a Legally Blonde 2, they should damn well make Serenity … (NB I am not comparing the two in any way – just tried to think of the worse film and sequel I’ve ever seen – and now I have no clue why I did) …
