Am I just hearing Firefly *everywhere*?

I was watching a rerun of Cheers (it's 2am... what ELSE is on?) and Norm was having a heart-to-heart with Sam. They were talking about Norm being tempted to have an affair on Vera and Norm admitted that he would never do that. His line:

"I mean, I have urges, sure. But if I acted on them, I'd be no better than a rutting pig."

Now, rutting is used like it's SUPPOSED to be. A rutting pig is a pig in heat and it's probably the origin of the curse on Firefly. Still, as soon as he said it, I pictured Jayne saying it: "No better'n a ruttin' pig."

That just amused me at 2:30 in the morning ;-D

Yesterday I saw an ad for The Greatest Game Ever played and the caddie said, "Easy peasy lemon squeezy." I started using easy peasy ages ago and my mom thought it was something I'd picked up from my kids.

LOL! Weetabix, I didn't even think of the Vera connection!

And yes, thatweirdgirl, all Okies should have been snug in their bed last night at 2am... I didn't end up going to sleep until... well, the last time I looked at the clock it was 4am. *yawn*
