A little help?
Thursday, February 26, 2004

I've been editing some pictures and making icons using Print Shop 8. (I decided to try the ol' trial version when none of my friends would make an icon for me *shrug*) Anyhow, some of the icons I made saved as .pspimage files and I can't upload those to my blog because they aren't the right format. So, does anyone know how to convert the pics from .pspimage to either .jpg, .gif, or .bmp without losing all the color information or layers and whatnot? Thanks for your help in advance!

And there you have it. Everything worked like it was supposed to. Thanks for the tip!

you'll lose layer information no matter what if you change to a "basic" file format. but that's not really a big deal. you SHOULD be able to just open the file in PS8 and then use the Save As... command to make a copy, and you should have an option to change the file type you save it as.

but perhaps there isn't the Save As... option in the trial version. in that case you'll have to resort to most likely opening the file in PS8 and capturing a shot of your whole screen (hit the Print Screen button) and then pasting it into MSPaint or something, and then cropping down the image there and saving it as a usable file type.

just some ideas for ya
