101 Ways to make your housemates think you're crazy
Saturday, October 15, 2005

I just don't get it. It makes me very angry and a little confused. Let me see if I can explain. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this looks set to be a rant.

I decided that I couldn't bear only going to see Serenity only once at the cinema so I headed off today to Bluewater to watch it for a second time. All very exciting. I'm humming to myself and generally feeling very happy. I head on downstairs to say 'see ya later' to my two housemates. "Why are you dressed like that to go to the cinema?" one says. "Are you going by yourself?" says the other. "You're driving for an hour to see a film you've already seen before?" They both say. "You're crazy!"

Point number one, no, I'm not actually crazy, slightly hyperactive occasionally yes, but definatly not crazy. Point number two, where is the problem in driving a ways to see something you enjoy? It's not like I'm some unhappy loner who has no friends, it just so happens that everyone was either busy or completely uninterested.

It is frustrating to know that not all of my friends are supportive of the love I have for this show. Most of the time thats Ok but today it got to me. I found myself sitting in the cinema quietly hoping that no annoying teenagers would talk through the bits they found boring, but alas, talk they did. Grrr!

Anyway I'm over the ranting, life goes on. Serenity, so much better the second time round and like home the third time. So much to see and notice and pay attention to, all the little things. I'm sure I caught a glimpse of Blue Sun in there as well as Whitefall and a catalyzer.

Finally, i thought I would leave you with my 'Top 5 Things I've Learned from Serenity'. With apologies to whoever invented the one for Firefly. Where has that thread got to these days anyway? Here they are,

1) Don't fly in anything that has a Capissen 38 engine. Apparently they fall right out of the sky.
2) If Inara and Mal have a conversation that doesn't include a fight, it's a trap.
3) One should be a tad cautious of being a leaf on the wind.
4) If your quarry goes to ground, leave no ground to go to.
5) Being killed with a sword is weird.

Be safe

Alison

SERENITYBOUND

Hey y'all! Wow....CallMeAth you've seen it 7 times? wow! I've only seen it once! I have to go again, this time with mom so i can finally talk about it around her. When I went to see it with my friend, I was sworn to secrecy by my Browncoat honor. LOL. I do admit tho...i did talk a bit, but only when something I thought was exciting happened. ::runs away from special hell:: Anywhoo...I'm driving everyone crazy about Firefly and Serenity. We saw a fellow Browncoat after the movie. he overheard us talkin about what happened to Wash and we all talked about how opposed we were...lol...I don't remember exactly, buthe had a sweater that had somethin' on it...i think it was one of the Browncoat symbols...i'm not sure. I haven't been a Browncoat that long...anywhoo..I'll shut up now..Peace!

I was sitting in Bluewater and thinking to myself "I wonder if there are any other Browncoats in the audience?" Glad to hear there were.

6) When Simon is scared, his eyes are wider.

7) Always bring grenades.

...And don't forget the part where Jayne gets knocked out by a 90 pound girl. Cuz that is NEVER getting old.

CALLMEATH

I wouldn't worry about it too much. (Except for those teenagers. They deserve special hell.) I've seen the movie 7 times myself, and 3 of those were all by my lonesome.

If your friends are true friends, then they'll learn to deal with your superior taste in movies and television. ;)

Oh, but that weren't no catalyzer. It looks similar, but trust me, it's not.
