So everyone's been whining about Serenity failing and how Universal is scaling back the release and how we've failed as Browncoats.

To all of you whining about that...allow me to hold up three fingers and ask you to read between the lines!

I went to a Sunday afternoon showing with my wife and two friends in San Jose, CA yesterday and we totally expected to see maybe ten other people in the theatre.

Imagine our surprise when there's about 50 other people in the theatre!! And many of them were first timers based on them gasping in all the right places.

So is Serenity sinking? Hell no! Do we still have to hold the line? You betcha! But we will make that eighty million, just you watch!

Much like FollowMal indicated: Just get out and see it, and invite your friends along who haven't (and a few Browncoats that have, like yourself), because we've proven time and again that all you have to do is sit someone down in front of Firefly or the film Serenity, and likelier than not, they'll be hooked, and pass on the meme to others. QED.

Less "Whiney", and more "Shiny)"!! ;-)

The word is spreading and whenever I go It has been consistently full(except when I went on a Tuesday) But we are running out of time and I think are profit making days from the theaters are limited though I will keep up hope where hope is to be found and dammit, hope can be found in this movie.

it's been three weeks here in the uk and it's not moved from the top five. serenity's only fallen from no. 1 to no. 3 and we brits are a picky lot!!!

You're absolutely right. More and more people are taking notice of the BDM and are responding. It gives me heart to see Serenity rise from the first few weeks' slump. i just hope someone didn't sell their soul for this...

FOLLOWMAL

When I went last week, I noticed the same thing... I think the movie has legs. Each time I've gone, there have been more people than I expected and a lot of them are new.

I think word is spreading...

We have to believe that people will fall in love with it, just like we did!
How can they not?
