I watched the commentary on the episodes last night. I burst into tears hearing that Alan sent the "call back" button he stole off the set to Joss and repeated his line from out of gas. "When you get your miracle, you can call us back."

Apparently when Joss got the good news from Universal, he pushed the button. Unfortunately, he discovered it didn't actually work, so he had to physically call the actors up and let them know. I sure hope they caught the button-pushing on tape, though. That had to have been one beautiful, teary-eyed moment.

FEAR NOT,I have read speculation that Wash is in fact NOT dead as we have been lead to believe, some think Joss might bring him back somehow, maybe with him being captured and rescued or in dream sequences or flashbacks!
We must keep a spark of hope alive, for I read that Alan (as well as the rest of the cast) signed on for a three movie deal!
