I think the reason it's gotten worse for me is because, just like you said, Icarus, the people on here are just so damn shiny! I wish the people I work with were this cool...it's bad for me, cuz besides my husband a handful of his friends, no one else around gets into or has ever heard of Firefly...so when I say "Shiny" or something at work, people just look at me weird...can't wait to get my Jayne hat in the mail...I'm gonna be wearin that son of bitch every damn day like a cunning little fool, smile plastered on my face....you guys wanna know how bad it is w/me? I have pics of Jayne Cobb all over the inside of my locker at work...at work for God's sake!!! There's no need..there's just no need....oh...gonna have to let it go, I guess...the damage is done and I can't fight it anymore....can't stop the signal I guess. Love all ya guys!!!!

I was having a discussion about movie stuff a little while ago (got interupted by school, but I shall return!!! ;)) and found myself referencing specific eps/scenes/etc in defense of my position, etc. After doing that for several days, I realized what I was doing and what had happened...

I had become one of /those/ people. One of /those/ fans.

Nah, I'm the same way! But don't ever get ashamed of what you love, even if it isn't Firefly. I like this site a lot too, mainly because the people here are nice to me and help each other out. So it don' matter how much you like (or love?) it, just don't become like one of them trekys who memorize Klingon!
