Well, I've had the dvd's for a month now, and well, was starting to despair of ever having anyone to discuss or watch them with since my taste in tv tends to differ from all of my friends. Surprisingly, my ex agreed to watch the first episode and is hooked. He never saw it when it was on fox because he really doesn't watch anything other than cnbc and anime on cartoon network. Of course, I probably wasn't helping by describing the show as Cowboy Bebop meets Magnificent Seven. Of course, I know the entire reason he fell in love with it is because he wishes he could throw some of his coworkers through an engine like mal did on the train job.

Anyway, I'm now assured of one movie buddy at least come 2005.

Lend them the DVDs, one at a time......I did that with my friend, he got a tiny bit mad when I forgot to bring a DVD...but, now he's here as theheroofcanton (Hero). Can you guess his favorite episode?

Yeah, that's true. If they don't like it, it was free. Well, it cost time, but at least it wasn't money!

my advice is to just make your other friends watch it. Firefly speaks to a lot of different typed of folks. just make them swear that they'll watch through the end of the Train Job. the engine scene will hook a lot of people that may not be 100% hooked before it. i mean, face it. even if they don't like it, won't be as bad as going to see a bad movie: it'll be free!
