Ahh the joys of a dissection lab! 5 hours and many hand washings later my hands smell like a few kinds of soap (bubblegum included, thats the scent of the soap in the lab), hand lotion, and dissection. No matter what you do that scent just sticks. Even through gloves. Today it was Bridget (our mink) that had the particular honour of stinking me up. I named her Bridget 'cause she's slippery, and kinda cool. Much like YoSaffBridge. I would have prefered to call her that, or even Yolanda or Saffron, but I took a lot of harassment for naming our shark Willemina. I though that Bridget was the safe way to go.

So my Firefly-y reason for this blog: My brain works in strange and mysterious ways and often will make incredible leaps of odd logic from one thing to another (hence the mink named after Saffron). Today it was all about "I shaved my beard for you, devil-woman!" I guess bringing Bridget back out of her preserving fluid just got me thinking of the return of Saffron and then I just couldn't get it out of my head. I was tempted to pick her up and re-inact the scene but I'd already made her do little dance on the table top and I didn't need anymore odd looks today. I don't mind them at all, you just have to carefully pace them

In other lab related news its official, Jeremiah* is in love with me. I present the following evidence A)he touched my bum last week in lab B)there was flirtatious teasing on his part this week C)while sitting next to me he rubbed his leg against mine and most importantly D)he wore his blue dissecting gloves again today(see previous blog "2 by 2" for the explanation). If that isn't love I don't know what is.

*names have been changed to protect the privacy of bum touching, leg rubbing, blue glove wearing T.A.'s named Wallace the Squallus
