Siblings Shouldn’t Reproduce

Ugghhh….I’ve gone and inadvertently pissed off my middle sister again. Sometimes I wish I had been raised by wolves. I’m turning 40 this year (pauses for the inevitable gasps of shock) and I wanted to do a big birthday celebration, someplace fun like Disneyland. She’s the only one with a kid and when I suggested she leave said rug-rat at home for two days she hit the ceiling. I just didn’t want to drag a four-year old around Disney all day. Her family just went last year so I thought a little adult Disney fun would not be out of the question. Apparently, I was wrong. I’m turning off the phone, sticking in my DVD’s and spending the rest of the evening in adult bliss. I’m also going to cuss at random intervals, just because I can.

I totally feel your pain, Suenos. Siblings and their children can be tiresome.

Congratulations on your upcoming 40th!! I swear you don't look a day over 29!!

Frankly, I think it was nice that you invited your sister to celebrate your big day with you. Too bad she doesn't recognize that you might have chosen to celebrate with friends instead of family. Lots of people do.
