Simple people often label it obsession when it is simply faith.

Wow... that's different. I guess I am living in a bubble.

My whole family is FF/Serenity fans. Most of my coworkers are all fans with all kinds of pictures posted all over the office. I know there are a few who snicker about it and wonder what the big deal is. They have only commented about once, before the cold icy stares made them go away.

Don't worry *no-one* understands my ff obsession here. The only people I have found that understand are right here on this site, so it's ok

Don't feel bad! My brother does the same thing...though less now that I told him off. He gets into different things constantly, and spends a bunch of money on them. Then he tells me all about them, and I humor him b/c it is something that he likes. Well, then he started makin' fun of me in the same way. Until I told him something like, "Hey, you know what, you waste your money on something new every few months. My thing = Firefly and Serenity, and that isn't going to change. So how about you stop makin' fun, and I'll not go on about your stupid momentary obsessions." Well, like I said, he stopped. Occasionally now, he calls things HI-larious, and looks directly at me. I have a great little brother.

well as a girl that love old cars I understand their obsesscion(but only if its a deserving car like a uh..I dont know a 79 toyota starlet, you could really do some drag racing in that thing) But then theres the important obsession like Firefly, now thats an important one. more important than any stupid car stuff.
