Damn a bunch of regions and DVD players that wont play anywhere.

Almost every DVD player ships with
no region setting. It is the encoding of
the first DVD you play that sets the
region for the player (drive).

If you have a stand-alone player, check
the manufacturer's site for a way to change the encoding. Many players allow
up to 5 region-code changes.

If your player is a DVD drive in a PC,
you can use a bootable Linux CD and a
program called "regionset" to change
the region setting on the drive.
I think Knoppix and Elive come with
regionset already installed.
