It just amazes me every time I watch any Joss stuff how beautifully simple and poinant it is. I was just rewatching season 2 of Angel for the fifth time and this hit me in the right spot.

Lorne:
Now, I can hold a note for a long time; actually I can hold a note forever, but eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after and the one after that. That's what makes it music.


So simple and heavy duty all at the same time. Not to mention Beautifully delivered by Andy.

Oh, yeah, I've always loved that line.

If I remember correctly, that's the episode that Joss wrote and directed all by himself, yes? The "a tiny even horizon" one?
