I liked this book, it gave me alot of info on characters, or rather the tools to gain the info. I think though only 'hard core' firefly fans, as my brother called it, will really like this book. But all in all i liked it... one of my favoriet bit from it was "She can kill you and make you like it." regarding Inara. When i read that i laughed. Also a few wise words regarding 'freedom' and the characters, I love to read about how others see the characters. Specially when pointing out things i would never see on my own. It was all in all refreshing also it has all the chinies words used during the show translated and how to say them... I am proud and some what ashamed that i now know how to say that one line inara used in 'shindig'. Yes i am obsessed, yes i like to read the characters. 'Its what i do' I guess I just like to so i can understand why they do what they do. Also so i can write stuff, but i never find any thing good enough to post. and when i do i post it and then never finish... maybe i will write one shots. OH wow i am so off topic! ok umm 'Finding Serenity' neat book ummm, i liked it, but its not for every one.

glad you all agree. And maybe i will write something, it will probibly be alot about inara or something but if it dosent bother any one then i might looking in to it.

REAVERPREY


it is such a worthwhile book to buy - even for the casual fans (iof there can be such creatures). its thought provoking, intelligent and very funny. I loverd the Joss / Fox e-mails though they did get me quite riled up against the network - the e-mails may be fake but their content is pretty accurate. and the enterprise cossover was so amazing - I would love to see an episode of that.
and all ths for only 5 quid on amazon - well worth the buy.

I really enjoyed this book too... It did point my thoughts in a couple directions I hadn't thought on before, which was cool... You're right in that this isn't for the 'casual' fan I don't think... But those who frequent this site and call themselves Browncoats will likely enjoy it...

Also, this is me encouraging you to write, even if you want to do just little scenes or whatever, especially if Inara's in it!! Need more Inara....

I haven't finished all the essays yet but so far I have LOVED this book! I too liked the ideas of Freedom that were presented. Mal and Zoe's ideas of freedom seemed particulary correct to me. I've also loved laughing myself to tears when reading the essays comparing Firefly to The Tick and the cross contaminated Firefly/Enterprise essay!
