Just a little bit excited... (*tries to stop hyperventilating!*)
Sunday, February 26, 2006

Yes folks, tomorrow is the 27th of February and all you UK browncoats know what that means...

SERENITY IS RELEASED ON REGION 2 DVD!

Having patiently waited so much longer than everyone else in the world our loyalty will finally be rewarded with some thrilling heroics of our very own .

I've had my Amazon dispatch email so I know my pre-order is on its way and wow i'm excited (did I mention that already?)

Admitedly the special features won't be a patch on the Region 1, just like the Firefly box set lacks the extra 'trans-atlantic' flair, but still, I've waited so patiently.

The cynical part of me is now acknowledging that in less than a week I'll be trying to purchase the region 1 having despaired at the lack of a decent commentary/deleted scenes etc, and i'll probably be banging my head against a brick wall at the delivery costs but that does not detract from this very special moment.

I'm so excited!

(I'm also trying to work out if *giddy* is an acceptable term!)

COSMICFUGITIVE

Yup, can't wait to get my copy too!

I also saw it twice in the cinema. It also came out in the U.K on my b-day. Looking forward to seeing it again, and the gag reel too! It's been a LONG four months...

Tonight, I'll be sitting in front of the telly, with a few snacks, and watch it with the lights out. :)

Actually the R2 has MORE special features than the R1. It's the Aussies and Germans who get even more than you all in the R4. (Though I do expect they'll release a R1 "Special Edition" at some point with additional features.)

Anyway, glad to see you enjoying your anticipation!

HOEPERATIVE

:D

I can't wait. Only saw it twice at the cinema, so I'm looking forward to laughing at all the jokes again :)

Got a basic plan to gather a posse of my general firefly buds and watch it on the least-crap tv we can muster. Should be fun.

How is everyone else celebrating?
