A couple of good songs....

Was listening to some music a coworker of mine brought in to work today... she's into country and bluegrass and there were a couple of songs in what she played for me that I swear could almost have been written specifically for Firefly... they certainly speak to me, so I thought I'd share the titles and lyrics for anyone interested!

This first one is just SO River to me, it's amazing. It's called Falling Into You, and would work great for a vid, could focus on Simon and River, or could even be worked as a Mal/River or Jayne/River I'm sure if that's your thing... It's by Kasey Chambers, who's a definate country artist, though this song isn't particularly country... Worth a listen:

It's really a great song...
She also wrote one called "The Captain" and I just so hear Inara thinking the lines to this one... turning her back on the guild and finally embracing Serenity as her home... there's just one line that refers to a 'father' which I haven't figured in yet, but everything else works for me, especially the last lines... This one's a bit more country, but still listenable for those who aren't into that...

And the last I'll share is very easy listening like (this is the kinda song you'd be dancing to at a wedding), but the lyrics just completely define Inara waiting for Mal to say what she really wants him to... ;o) yep, Mal/Inara shipper at heart here... hey phoenixrising.... glad I could turn you on to a couple songs..... I'll try my hardest to get an update going, but I'm havin' my difficulties at the moment.... but, with so many people askin, maybe that will tear down the wall a bit...

You know I think that first one could be used for an entire crew vid. There's a little piece for everybody in it. And the second one, well I guess since it's sung by a woman wouldn't work, but it almost describes Simon. He's lost everything and is no one now. Or it could even be River. btw I love country so now I have to go find those songs and listen to them over and over again. Do you see what you've done!? oh well, maybe I'll forgive you if you post a fanfiction update. Pretty please? With sugar on top?
