i'm not sure, but i think i'm on the edge of my very first conversion...

watched Serenity with my sister and she squeaked when the operative was smacking mal about and sticking a dirty great sword into him, laughed at the funny bits and even figured out that the reavers were the bad guys. on her own. without me explaining. then again, even my mother knew that.

yeah, my mother knows that reavers are bad, simon is the cute doctor, mal is the captain, book's the old guy and the last time she saw jayne, he was a bad guy (we watched ariel last week). she was even disappointed when wash was killed and kept asking if the rest of the crew were going to die. that's my momma, morbid as hell and filthy-minded to boot.

i'm so proud *wipes tear from eye*

also, you should have seen my brother's faces light up when mal fired the anti-aircraft gun in the pilot episode.

the influence is spreading!!! it's like a virus or something, but a good one.

hey, i just had a thought. it's exactly a year and a day since i first saw Firefly YAY!!!

Conversions are alwasy fun. Mainly I have only nabbed fellow sci-fi & fantasy nuts I know who have interested relatable to Firefly and Serenity.

Preach on, Bellona! We need all the converts we can get:)

Sing the hymn of Jayne to those who know not his greatness. Teach them to fear the Hands of Blue and the corrupting death they sow.

Teach them to hope for the mad Goddess River to protect them from the Reavers and qoute the poems of the Lost Book to teach them to try for a better self.

Ask them to pray for the Lost Operative seeking the path and for bloody vengence against those who created Merinda.
