I started reading last night and finished The Fish Job and The Notes in one sitting.

I'm very impressed. I loved so many things that I would never be able to list them. Here are a few:

I loved the River/Mal interaction. I swooned over Mal's vulnerablity. I think he is so vulnerable still, and just a tad crazy to boot. This is weird, but my favorite part was him lying face down on the floor with his hands out trying to ground himself. Awww. Just so many good moments! I also love the strong Zoe & Mal connection. I just love to read that when it's done right. I really don't know if he could function without her.
And the reference to Truthsome and The Blue Sun Job! My, how I loved those two stories - with the exception of the little thing she tacked on the end. I thought that was too crass for Zoe. But the rest! Loved it.

So, I'm all excited about the next one. I hope you keep writing. It's so lovely to have something to look forward to reading. If I could only pace myself and not read it all at one time. Anyway, you're a wonderful writer. What a gift to find!

And I read somewhere you're on the east coast? What state? If you mean US that is.

Such a tease, you are. But I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. (Though, I could really use it NOW!) But I have to admit, I'd rather wait to start than to take a forced hiatus partway through.
