BloodRayne is directed by Uwe Boll, who is widely lauded (and rightly so) as the worst director of his generation. He 'specialises' in videogame adaptations, and they are all bloody woeful.

He's a modern Ed Wood...I'm surprised you actually survived one of his films. I hired out Alone In The Dark just to see if he'd improved over House Of The Dead....he hasn't.

Yet he can still keep getting funding for his films because he makes them cheap.

As for how he manages to get some relatively big names attached to his films-I have no idea how he does it. I mean, how did he get SIR Ben Kingsley to slum it in BloodRayne?
