my firefly muse has left me. i have cried endless tears for it. i cannot write. i also have been unispired to create graphics. its gone. i have begged, cajoled, pleaded, grovelled, enticed and all that. there is no return that i can forsee. perhaps later. after i watch the episodes again after not having done so for a period of time.

alas. i have a whole page of things i could and should write about. many good phrases to base a fic around. many instances. but i cannot. i am all dried up. it happens to me frequently, but never before for this long. im all empty inside. it is as if my purpose has worn thin and im just biding my measly time here.

in the absence of writing firefly, i have been reading 'finding serenity' and 'the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy'. i have written a couple of pirates of the caribbean: dead man's chest short fics. i have thoroughly cleaned my room. i have purchased myriad firefly related items on ebay. i continue to come here daily to check out everyones shiny work. i enjoy seeing the pics and drawings and reading the creativity (and not-so-much-creativity).

so, crazy fools and fellow fans, i resign this post with a teary heavyness of heart. i have dissapointed my clingers-on. i have failed in my goal of posting a fic on a semi-daily basis. for this i am sorry.

(Mav rows along with the lifeboat...) Hop on in! You aren't alone. Don't fret too much. I have had tremendous block for a long, long time now after having written 6 novellas ( nearly a full disc's worth ) of very well received fanfic. I mourn the ebbing of my creative juices, but am hopeful it will return. Keep writing down tidbits that inspire you, jot them in a special notebook just for this purpose. Some day, you'll be glad you did. Mental hug for you, AgentRusco. -Maura

I spent two years in a creative coma, and then I found a certain little 'verse to kickstart me. Just keep the notes, something will come. Hell, write some dialogue for Wash's dinosaurs. 'Cos nobody needs to clean their room that badly.

its okay dude, will all go through stages like this. (writers/artists block). Trust me that fanfic "mojo" will come back ;) ...just give it time
