A week of sadness

Just a little tribute to our Australian heroes.

First of all, last Monday I hear one of our great aussie icons, Steve Irwin died. Most people I know, laughed it off thinking that it was a joke, that it was impossible for a person like him, to die like that. Then a few days later, we Australian's lose another icon, the author of Storm Boy and if that wasn't bad enough, we lose a great sporting legend, Peter Brock, known famously for his career in Car racing.

So as geniune Australians we chose to embrace the deaths of our fallen heroes and show them that we cared for what they did for us. We donated our time and effort into protecting our native animals, we cherished our written words and we paid tribute to our King of the Mountain.

And to think they never gave up, even to the end.
Rest in Peace our dearests, you deserve it now, more than ever, let your wisdom guide us to a better future.
