HSC: I'm scared and pumped.
Thursday, October 19, 2006

It's 11:14 pm. In 10 hours and 6 minutes, my first HSC exam will commence.

It's fair to say I'm scared beyond belief. I'm fretting over EVERYTHING! Have I studied enough? Do I remember all my quotes? Will I manage my time correctly (I write incredibly slowly and small)? Will I get another gorram hand cramp? Will I get a crappy desk? GOD HELP ME! At the same time I say "Bring It On!"

Then again, for the Uni course I want, I don't need marks that are too spectacular. Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna try my damndest.

Oh and one of the plays I have to write about? Yeah, I never got a copy. The schools excuse was (and I quote): "Sorry, but there aren't anough to go around for everyone." Me and 3 others have not read the entire work. That's why I'm forced to rely too heavily on the related texts...(yes I know I'm pretty screwed here.)

The good thing is that when Supernova is on (a pop culture convention..Summer Glau will be there), I have a small window of opportunity to attend. Then it's back to exams.

Creative writing I'm fairly comfortable with, I based it on the Mal/Inara relationship. I might post it here.

That's just tomorrow's exam. Then I have 8 more...go me.

Oh, and if you're going to wish me luck...don't.
Me and a friend have decided that "Good Luck" is sorta lame, and kind of a jinx. So we invented a new saying...

"Let's pray for a miracle".

You'll all most likely find I'm conspicuously absent from the site. I haven't left, I'm just attending to some HARDCORE study time, and will have very very very few hours of free time; most of which will be spent either crying like a baby, panicking like a crazy person or studying some more.
That's enough of my panicky ramble...

Until my return, Toodles and...

"Let's pray for a miracle"

First exam is done. Was not fun (What exam is?...don't answer that), but it wasn't the torture I was anticipating. Just felt like a slightly harder than usual exam, but with WAY too much pressure. Pity I didn't finish. You know, I fair fairly okay in exams, but I think it' [s massivley unfair to those who don't that a whopping 80 percent of the UAI (University Admissions Index, the mark Uni's use to admit you...100 UAI= Einstein) has it's marks scaled by exams.

I know people who are smarter than me, but I get better results then then because exams are decidedly NOT their forte'. Then again, some people cheat the system and get ludicriously high marks without even showing up!

Next up: English on Monday, 3 wonderfully unfun (yes, that's a word now) hours in the poorest circulated room ever. Actually, I have three 3 hours exams next week...I need to bump up on my Augustan lines of succession...and maybe get my Business Report structure down pat (yes, that's all as boring as it sounds...God I hate study).

That's enough of my bitching for now, just thought I'd let you know...

Let's pray for a miracle.
