Going MIA
Thursday, November 9, 2006

Hi folks. I'm gonna be MIA for awhile. Mom had the new CT scan and they also did a biopsy of the liver ones. This new batch of cancer is not the same as what she had last year. It originated in her liver and is much faster spreading than what she had in her uterus last year.

She's having increasing pain and they don't know why but think it may be related to what's happening in her bowels. Nothing's moving there...the barium from the CT scan she had on Halloween is still there and shouldn't be.

The doctor can't dispute that the liver cancer is terminal. A couple of doctors will be in to see my mom and step-father tomorrow to discuss what exactly is going on.

As I mentioned previously, I did go up yesterday at 6am and got home at midnight and will be headed back up tomorrow after work.

Thanks again for all your good wishes, prayers and support. *fff.net*

I'll be back when I can.

You got my complete support for any emotional moments. Admittedly, it sounds like your mom's got my mom beat for severity of cancerous tissue presence (though that's beside the point)...but you me and a whole battalion of Browncoats saying prayers, lighting candles, emitting psychic happy vibres...hell, I think we could even think up a cure if we put our minds to it;)

BROWNCOATJIM

If you get around to seeing this post, then consider this: both of my parents are gone. My dad in a car accident and my mother after 15 years of Multiple Sclerosis. I know as good as anyone where you are in your life, my friend.

Very recently, a fellow Browncoat carried me when I couldn't crawl any more, and it made a big difference. So if you need someone to throw you over his shoulder in these coming days, you just let me know.
