After The Storm
Saturday, November 25, 2006

Well, it's the day after the funeral for my grandmother and I think I took it quite well. Only a little sobbing, just a bit. >.> Had enough hugs to last me a lifetime. My ribs still hurt. Seen a lot of people I haven't seen in so very long. Good to see such smiling faces with all the kind words. My family seems to be taking it all quite well. Even though it was very sudden I think we'll get through this one. Thank you to everyone here for all the words of encouragement and all the backing. What a shiny bunch of Browncoats y'all are. Think I'll start getting back 'round this place.

Hugs and love to all of you!

BLUEEYEDBRIGADIER

Been awhile since my grandma's funeral...but I still remember the day. Rather glad she went when she did, as she would have been spent the rest of her days stuck in a wheelchair and suffering from Alzheimer's:(

But yeah...we're here and we ready to carry, Roxy. You just give the word and we'll be here for your return and any future moments where things get dark;)

STINKINGROSE

Here's another hug.
I remember my Grandmother's funeral. Kind of numb, but she'd reached a peaceful place before she went so it wasn't so hard for me. The family stories that got trotted out by the older folk after the burial were the best part. I'd never heard any of them.
It was followed about a year later with the memorial service for one of her daughters. It kind of blew everybody away it happened so fast and was so unexpected. There was a lot more crying at that one.
