Well reginaroadie, she was a space vampire in Season 2 of Stargate: Atlantis and her character of Daisy on "Higher Ground" is a jolt when you see her do so-happy-it-should-be-illegal then watch her be a destructive Goth on the mend;)

But I agree...Jewel needs a chance to be completely evil and not make up like a mutant Smurf. I mean...Nathan got Caleb, Gina got Jasmine, Adam got Hamilton, Sean had that accidental necrophiliac from CSI Miami and Morena's the sexiest psychopath I have ever seen with Adria. All of them got to be eeevil without being an obvious non-human entity:(

It's a jolt, but it's also nice to see them in other work. Although in Jewel's case, I noticed that she seems to be doing a lot of genre work. She's still doing either guest stints on sci-fi shows or cheap B-movies. Why is it that the only non-genre stuff the cast does is ususally Lifetime TV movies. Can someone explain that to me?

I dunno. It's nice that she's still earning a paycheck and all that and being a darling at the sci-fi conventions and stuff like that. But I want to see her do more serious stuff, like Nate Fillion is with WAITRESS. I want her to be the anti-Kaylee in something more down to Earth and serious. Or at least let me be the one to do that.

I know. It's such a jolt to see them in other things. Keep waiting for Gina ( in Standoff) to grab a gun, turn to Mal, and blast the hostage taker.
