I'm usually not a "worst day ever" kind of rant person. But, between Veronica Mars being cancelled, the Cubs giving up five runs in the bottom of the ninth against the Mets, and the Bulls being eliminated - I have to say what the hell. There it is.

Anyway, does anybody have any advice for becoming an excellent networker? I just finished school. My teaching certificate is in the mail, so I'm looking for jobs while trying not to lose my mind or my creative interest in music. I don't want to be a robot, or a prison warden when I get my first teaching job.

Chicago native, eh? Lovely city, Chicago...always wanted to visit;)

And msg's advice sounds like the best option. Applying to work in a private school would allow you to gain an environment that is much more controlled and a suitable safety net for future work in the public school world:)

Um you might try junior high...it's an asylum ( sorry it's been a long day) Actually I'd suggest you check private schools or charter schools with artistic curriculum.
