This Is Me In Grade 9, Baby...
Monday, May 28, 2007

Or at least it'll be me in grade 9 for one more month. Yes, boys and girls, friends and enemies, I'm all growded up since my first post here, back when I was actually 13, age-wise. It's gonna be High School Confidential, bay-bee. Now, few months back, during a wish-corruption (which was trumped by Pain, Lord rest his soul) I spouted off about being all anxious and crap towards this high school thing, leaving Tiny Town. Now, I ain't so sure. There's gonna be a bit more respect and tolerance towards me, (although some folks ((especially a gal they call 'E')) have tolerated and respected me hella lot more than they should) which is all cool, but there's gonna be loss. Everyone I know is leaving for another school, and little old-young 13 is making his way in a hostile environment alone. Kay, maybe not hostile, but definitely foreign territory. I 'spect I can handle it, though. Been through worse stuff before, and I will later.

And the impending loss in the real world isn't the only loss; a blow has been struck on my semi-real self, a blow dealt in the virtual world: LOS, Life Onboard Serenity, Come To The Galley, whatever the hell you wanna call it, is dead. Done. Ka-goddam-put. This burns me. LOS was my home from home, where I went to unwind, the place to slip into an identity that I needed, and still need, to keep my mind off things best temporarily unminded. Now it's gone, no more psychopathic angst-ridden emo androids for me! (just ignore that last bit) I quote Young: 'out of the blue, and into the black.' That describes the fate of LOS perfectly, I think.

Well, I've still got some time left at the BDV, (http://www.bigdamnverse.net) my LOS back-up, before I cancel out for the last time. I'll stick around here, though. Some people still saying stuff that needs to be said and read.

Might even post a picture or two.

-with love and confusion,

Don't take anything too personally or seriously and high school is a piece of really yummy cake. Good luck!

Gah...Grade 9? Like sweetserendipity, I am feeling old since it will be 10 years since I was in your shoes:S

Still...high school marks a rather interesting and life-altering time in one's life. I hope for your sake the life-altering is of the good for the most part. Cuz 4 years of horror? Tends to warp a soul;)

I'm proud of you 13! I know you'll survive high school just fine. After all, you run with an older ( sometimes much older) crowd here. Aw hell, now I feel old! The good news is, most people survive high school. And if anyone messes with you, I'll send in the hellhound-after you leave the room. Enjoy your summer while you can!
