MY SURVIVAL SERIES EXPLAINED...SOMEWHAT, NOT REALY
Friday, June 8, 2007

I have recently started posting a story that I started writing about a year and a half ago, but never finished. First I would really like to thank Jane0904 and BlueEyedBrigadier for all the advice and coments.

I feel like I owe everone who read my survival series a bit of an explanation, well, more than a bit. First, I know I have neglected MAl, part of that is that he in probably the most important character in the series. Think about it, who almost throws Jayne out the airlock, who shoots Dobson, who is in every single flashback in out of gas, unless out of gas has flashbacks to simons childhood. That sounds like a contradiction, but I could not live with my self if I messed up mal any more than Simon could live with himself if he let anything hapen to River and Kaylee.

Also, the allpowerfull, straightshooting, Steve Roberts (names borrowed form my uncle Steve and the princess bride, possible the greatest book/movie ever). He was a mistake, I shouldn't have made him such a good person. He was suposed to be a blend of Jayne and Wash, with alitle bit of Simon thrown in for good measure. So, for the purposes of character development, I will come up with a reason, Steve is good at reading people, and even better at cons.

I have to cut this short for now, but I will throw out one more tidbit of info, even though over 90% of the people that have tried reading this probably hated this. Steve isn't what he seems to be, and the sherade will not last forever.

BLUEEYEDBRIGADIER

Always nice to get name-dropped by an author...makes a person feel all kinds of fuzzy;D

And yeah...Steve's a great character but a bit much to take in at once. You talk about his actions in saving Simon and Kaylee...show us! His talents are many and varied, so see if you can't find reasons for a skill or some knowledge to pop up when needed;)
